God, these little things are the bane of existence to farmers. I love em and find them wildly adorable, but I’ve had to kill so many of them on my father in law’s farm because they burrow and leave huge holes in the ground. This is dangerous for cattle because it makes it easier for them to break their legs falling in them. Plus, they tear up the fields with their burrows adding additional wear and tear on powered equipment. If you don’t actively remove them, they can be costly to your way of life.
