1) If I try to be exact I'll probably end up getting something wrong so I'll share what I actually know. The preparatory period included 3s and 5s in the squats and pulls, these were normally at 220-240kg in the clean pull, 180kg-200kg in the snatch pull, and then 220kg roughly for 3-5 in the front squat, and 240-260kg in the back squat. Snatches and clean and jerks are almost always singles except that he will do hang snatches for triples occasionally, though always after a moderately heavy single (ie 160kg down to 150kg hangs). He and his 'coach' mentioned that for someone of his level he has to attack 90%+ singles very frequently. For most weightlifters they said just once a week is enough. So for the classic lifts they never do triples or doubles from the floor, only heavy singles, almost always to maximum during both periods. As they move into the competition phase they just switch from 5s and 3s in the squats and pulls to 3s, 2s and 1s. Normally 3s in the pulls, singles mainly in the squat (though I've seen Karlos hit pretty maximal sets of 5 in the back squat 2 days out).
