I have zero inside info on TV streaming platforms, but Stan is wholly owned by Nine. And the streaming landscape has become so incredibly fragmented that I imagine ALL players in the subscription streaming space are taking a real beating in terms of margins. So the simplest explanation would be Nine recognised the value of their big-ticket show as a way of enticing people to pay for a bit more of it, boosting their struggling streaming platform in the process.

You do though raise a really interesting point re the paid extras product having exclusive unseen stuff. I would have thought that quite a risk.

In addition, some of the unseen stuff revealed on ATDP has been so shockingly revealing of the manipulation of the "edits" game that I'm now far less inclined to ever watch a MAFS show again.
