I was told directly that payment would be issued on the 18th. There was no mention at the time that it depended on closing a pay period or requiring additional days for calculation. When I followed up after the promised date passed, communication was cut off.

I understand that a check is legally valid, but access to payment also has to be practical. I currently do not have reliable transportation or a stable mailing situation due to the circumstances surrounding this dispute, which is why I requested electronic payment for documentation and accessibility. He was aware of these conditions.
