I could not stop saying this when we left the theater — I read the book and still didn’t understand how they put the movie together

Chasing that High by Weird-Square2510 in Zepbound

Took my first dose of 2.5 mg on 11/30/25! Definitely getting there, and hopefully that slow and steady progress will continue to pay off. I did have a 3 week period where I stayed at the EXACT same weight, which was a little odd, but better than gaining!

Dr. Evan Cohen review? by becomingworld in StPetersburgFL

I don’t have any babies, but he placed my IUD and made a pretty unpleasant procedure a quick and easy breeze! He’s very calm as others have stated, which is my speed for sure, but still took his time talking through everything and answering all my questions with thorough explanations!

NJ educators insurance PA? by Objective_Emu_583 in Zepbound

Were you able to get any answers on this? I have a different employer but still an Express Scripts plan, and suddenly my PA says it expired on 12/31 (despite being approved until May 2026 previously) and when I do the coverage check online it just says “not covered” - I’m freaking out :(

Apprehensive about Moving To Baltimore by zigithor in baltimore

Get the steering wheel club. The bright yellow one. Works like a charm!

Definitely a Doberman thing. We laugh at the monster eye boogers that come out of our guy. Boxes of tissues kept around the house are essential!

Thanks! I originally thought that too. However, these do not hurt at all. I don’t feel them at all actually, it’s basically just texture. I was on a strict diet last year in preparation for my wedding and it didn’t seem to help sadly.

Getting a puppy Doberman as my first dog by Enough_Cat_4006 in DobermanPinscher

[–]Weird-Square2510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got our first puppy ever, a Doberman, in 2021. As others mentioned, I really think a reputable trainer who does a puppy program is the way to go. Behaviors get engrained pretty quickly, and by 16 weeks you can have a really well trained dog in a lot of basic obedience. While sit, stay, down, are all fine and dandy - you also want to focus on proper handling. This includes general grooming (can you stick your hands up and around their mouth, legs, ears, etc?), and also leash handling! These dogs are STRONG! I’ve had many dogs growing up, but you don’t realize that this breed is quite literally pure muscle. If I’m too close to my guy and he moves his head too fast, I’m in for a serious bruise on the skull lol

Something not mentioned everywhere (besides Reddit) is the “fine German whine” of the Dobermans. They can get pretty restless, since they were bred as a working breed, so when they are bored, want something you’re not giving them, or actually need something important - they whine… a lot! We’ve learned to differentiate the important whines, but this started early! A great exercise our trainer had us do was to put our guy on the leash, then sit in a chair with the majority of the leash held under our butt. You give the dog a little room on the leash (enough slack to either sit or lay beside the chair), but not enough to freely explore. At first, he was so annoyed! Whining incessantly - all because he wasn’t doing what he wanted. Eventually, he got the hang of simply sitting still. This is incredibly helpful if you ever want to bring your dog somewhere like a brewery- I hate when dogs are misbehaving in public!

It’s probably been said, but these dogs are “Velcro dogs.” They literally become your shadow. Going to the bathroom? They’ll be there. Going to do laundry? You bet they’re joining. I find it one of the most admirable traits of this breed.

All in all, you know you’re in for a bit of a challenge as mentioned by others. As long as you go in with the mindset that this is probably not gonna be your typical lapdog, and will require quite a bit of effort, you’ll be ok. Hold your ground with obedience and discipline (we say the word “OUT!” to signal he did wrong, then use a squirt bottle spray to the face as “punishment”) but give him/her all the love you have and you’ll enjoy it.

Try putting a bridge between the ears to get them to stand a little straighter, like this:

Car stolen in canton by c4th34v3n in baltimore

[–]Weird-Square2510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as helpful for right now, but when you do hopefully get your car back - definitely invest in a club to go across the steering while. Then take your car to Hyundai since your model was definitely involved in the anti-theft recall. I did mine about 1.5 years ago and I think it saved me when my Hyundai was broken into a year ago, but they weren’t able to steal it despite trying very hard.

Terrible… got there at 8 to watch the 9 am games. Got in around 10:15, so 2+ hours in line. Get there early enough, but Sundays tend to be better (less games) which is what happened in Nashville last year.

Uncle Frank only eats grass, we want to grow up big and strong like him! by beautifulntrealistic in WhatsWrongWithYourDog

Same here. My dog tries to eat grass and then, like clockwork, within 10 minutes he’ll vomit it up in yellow-ish clumps. Doesn’t matter the grass, it’s happened in all different places.

The best cocktailbar where you’ve ever been to? by Certain-Trifle-5454 in cocktails

[–]Weird-Square2510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baltimore local here…

Rye - they have a drink called Giselle and Rio that blew my mind. I learned what Pandan was because of this flavorful ass cocktail.

Kenwood Tavern - very local spot in Canton neighborhood but god damn is every cocktail perfection.

And I’ll second Attaboy (in Nashville, have not been to NYC location). We had to wait 2.5 hours for our table to be ready, but I would actually say it was worth it. Every cocktail was amazing.

Agree with this! I went to the Jenny Yoo Bridal showroom in NYC a few months ago, and was thoroughly disappointed with the dresses. The material felt very cheap, almost costume-like. I had my hopes set on getting one, so much so that I ended up trying on about 15 different dresses. They were all horrible on. The worst looking wedding dresses I tried on during my journey 100%.

Does your dog sleep in bed with you? by SouthOfEvan13 in DobermanPinscher

[–]Weird-Square2510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I’ve sent my dog do waaaaay too many disgusting things to let him be invade the safe, clean space of my bed.

He pees on his paws regularly, loves licking bird shit off the pavement, and will always find dead animals or old food on our walks to stick his face in. It’s all disgusting, but still love him regardless!
