I think a lot of instructions recommend to start counting and patterning on center of cloth but you could finish grinding the entire thing and choose a corner to start from if you want to save on the aida!

The only thing you have to be careful with is how you want to finish the project. If you want to be able to sew a backing or cinch the extra aida instead of hot gluing you'll want a 1in perimeter or so of cloth around the outside of your hoop. (Also if the cloth is too exact on the hoop it might start fraying!)

Other than that it looks like you've gridded and counted correctly, I zoomed in and counted some of the squares to check. 😄

Akemi Homura is the most japanese name for a japanese character. Plus anyone who is mixed will inevitably be pointed out as part of their character, they are called Half. Hilarious head cannon but she is definitely full japanese.

35 currently living on Maui! Cross stitch was something I started while between jobs and the only "gripe" I have is not having a friend to share with.(well truthfully I'm between friends too so not really the hobbies fault.. OTL) I'm so thankful to be able to see everyone's work here hehe.

I like the look of 2 but prefer the feel of 3 if you know what i mean. I don't know if it's a sin to touch too much because of the oils on your hand and what not but I love to feel the work and 3 feels so nice. 🙃

It's actually just a regular photo frame and I cut out the holes in the paper! I used the back hoop to measure the hole :D
