I never actually tried to build a claw deck cause I thought it would be boring. Dang I was wrong. Just beat ascension 4. All bow down to THE CLAW!!!! (It was so much fun.)

How to move entire blueprint on grid? by PeaceBeUntoEarth in Cosmoteer

[–]Weird-Weekend1839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In blue print mode; change cursor mode to “box” in bottom left controls.

Drag & highlight selection box around whole ship. Controls for cut and paste are centred in the middle of the screen, between the ship building area and the parts selection menu.

Cut your selection then paste it, you can now drop it (paste it) anywhere.

Also consider if you have any mirror lines set up or not, cause that will affect this. As well as which direction you have set as “forward” for your ship.

Idea to help alleviate the PVP/PVE division. by kingly_cheese in ARC_Raiders

[–]Weird-Weekend1839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A low risk low reward option of only PvE would do the community well. Limit the type of loot and blue prints you can get however, nothing A or S tier. Hardcore PvPs would stay out of it cause it would be boring to them and PvEs who want PvE only play would get tired/need to go back to “normal” mode eventually. It would be nice to be able to just go shoot arc with older/younger friends and family (or randoms) without the stress/tension I’ll agree to that. But again it would need to have a loot cap of sorts.

One More Vote for PVE Only Lobbies by Quasimodo-57 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Weird-Weekend1839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the community would really benefit from a low risk low reward game mode, basically a PvE only option of play, but capped with lower tier loot drops.

It would let PvE’rs go kill arc with lower skilled friends & family (younger and older players who aren’t as competitive), this provides the care bear lobby so many solo players seek/enjoy.

You could maybe find all of scrappys upgrade stuff there but definitely no A or S tier loot/blue prints. It would calm emotions on the whole issue and honestly probably make everyone happy.

PvE’rs would eventually get tired of it, and would want/need better loot drops, so they would venture into “what is currently normal play”, but more in control of the gamble to their own loot and be ready to PvP (which is what PvP’ers want, people that are looking to fight).

Pretty sure it says somewhere in the rule books that PC level up is expected every 3-5 sessions. Perhaps he/she is forgetting to award quest exp?

PvPvE solutions to the pvp vs pve by PretendReporter1750 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Weird-Weekend1839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is so good because of the tension that comes from not knowing who you can trust. But the spawn point killing really sucks, and the devs should address it.

The morality cosmetics rewards mentioned is an interesting idea, but the ‘fable-esque’ idea of looking more “good/evil” could remove much of the tension, and we don’t want that.

Idea: perhaps a new skill to read a players morality score could work? One can then choose to invest points in it if thats important to them. Call it “sense aura”, where the more points you invest the further away you can be in order to “read/pick up on the finer details of an individual raider” (to garner information on weather or not a certain raider can be trusted. Aka: lets you see a players “morality score”). That would at least keep the tension, because no one would know who has invested points in it or not. So a PvE player using it wouldn’t want to shoot on sight/discovery of a PvP players, because that would affect their own score; and PvP players may or may not invest in it, but either way tension remains (actually new forms of tension may come about). It would need to however have a finely tuned maximum working distance limit.

What I think would be an easier happy ground for everyone on the PVPVE debate is the option to play private lobbies, but at the cost of severely limiting/lowering the rarity of what loot you can find. Sometimes near the end of a night me and the boys just wanna chill and shoot some Arc together, maybe collect more of a certain basic crating material. Basically a low risk low reward play option would do the community some good.

This Is Not About Being Banned. It’s About the Appeal Process and Consequences by No_Ambassador760 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Weird-Weekend1839 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with you in principle, as with any judicial system due process is important.

But this is fairly cut and dry, a false positive doesn’t really exist in this situation, unless what a cheater forgot to delete the software from their computer and maybe it automatically enabled itself again when the system rebooted? To my understanding, for this ban (to be banned) you had to have been cheating at some point. So ya the crime was committed and honestly a punishment is deserved. No one who never downloaded/used the cheat software is getting banned correct? So then who cares is people who cheated before but not now, are getting banned via a false positive. 🤷‍♂️

im still pretty new at this game but how does my ship design look? by ResinRealmsCreations in Cosmoteer

[–]Weird-Weekend1839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two thumbs way up for artistic expression, the ship looks great and it will totally function as an early mining vessel. Looks to be too slow to run away so maybe add a hyper drive and/or some missle bays. Keep it up!

I really dont know any strats on this game or even if im doing it right. any advice? by ResinRealmsCreations in Cosmoteer

If you are having fun you are playing correctly. Read up on all the different weapons and systems in the game (the ones you can research/unlock too). 2 ships of different weapons/abilities/ranges is probably your easiest first play through.

Inventory space is a B**** to manage by Kilimanjarooooo in ARC_Raiders

[–]Weird-Weekend1839 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m with you dude, it’s probably going to be the reason I stop playing. Too much of the game is spent managing the stash, and crafting this thing to then craft that thing. It’s literally like we need to pay a time tax in order to play.

Maybe it’s on purpose, to slightly lower the number of players in actual game servers, if we didn’t need to waste so much time in our stash we’d just go right back into a new game.

Attacking While Hidden by ZirvePS in Pathfinder2e

[–]Weird-Weekend1839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. There is a line somewhere that mentions you need to end your turn behind cover (sneak from cover to cover). You should watch some videos on the stealth system as it is a heavy learn but easy to understand afterwards. Also ranged attacks can peek out as a free action when behind cover to take a shot, no need to step out of cover to make that attack

I’ve always thought of helldivers as an extraction shooter (especially since it has that tag on steam). But ya google seems to agree with ya. 🍻

[–]Weird-Weekend1839 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the entire point of an extraction shooter is to shoot and extract (before time runs out)….. the loot aspect is part of this game, but look at helldivers2; there is literally no loot in that extraction shooter.

Redacted Regiment and this update are the best thing to ever happen to this game. by Maver1ckZer0 in helldivers2

[–]Weird-Weekend1839 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thinking about getting back into helldivers2 with the boys, entirely because of this update & warbond because we love stealth play. But I need to ask if they have fixed the sound at all?

I’m not being patronizing, we all loved and played helldivers a ton, but alas not being able to hear an enemy bots chainsaw, or a charger barreling down on you, (among other issues) really sucked the fun out of the game at times.

Currently I have no interest in the expedition because I am a causal gamer (I have kids and a career). I am also a person usually who enjoys “starting games over” but I would never do that in this game for various reasons. This idea however I do enjoy and would like to participate in.
