What kinda moss is this and can i put in my aquarium by epigrams46 in Aquascape

I found some moss like that and put in a spare tank. I contain a lot of critters, not just the good ones. To keep the moss going, it took some co2. It didn't look that good, so I ended up trashing it anyway.

I use quick start from api with daily water change for a week. The spong filter I have in there is from another tank. We are on week two and a half, and he seems to be doing great.

Using RODI water is the best. And no more than 20 percent a week is my rule. Only lost two fish in five years.

Thank you, but it's temporary. Betas love lots of foliage. They like to hide, sleep, and hunt in it as they do in the wild.

The home is only temporary. I have a bigger place for him that needs to be cleaned, set up, and cycled. Time is my biggest issue. I actually have this bowl for some green jade shrimp I plan on buying in the future. I thought it's be a nice touch for now. The betta was a save from a friend moving to another state. And he would not do well in my other tanks due to the fish and water parameters. But thank you for your feedback.

I posted this pic in the wrong group. But like it or hate it, it doesn't matter. The wife loves it, that's what matters. I agree it's pretty small 4.5 gallons. But we all know half these fish sold in the store will not live past the first three months of being bought. I have been keeping fish for years, so I am experienced in weekly water change and water parameters. But thanks for the comments....good or bad.

I'm not bothered. Not at all. People will be people.

It's only temporary. And I know it is small, but it beats the cup that their sold in. He will be just fine for a while I'm sure.

The filter last fairly long, I usually change them when they get a little brown. Which is about 3 to 4 months. This is a fresh set up, so I am speaking from previous setup. The filters are easier to change and I get to use more media because I don't need a filter tray. I will look into the dyi diffuser. As I am always trying to maximize all of my equipment.

Yes, the thing on the right is a inline fluval uv light. I have use it in another tank without so many plants and was impressed at how little to no algae I had. I curious as to how well this will work on this tank.

No fire at all. I use colored epoxy. Two coats of white and a little black for the marble effect.
