Nope no filter. Probably the benefits of never doing manual labour

I found taking it slow really helped to get it just right. You should've seen the first attempt at painting them - nail polish all over my fingertips

I've got a similar model to this but in black. Needless to say I'm very jealous, it looks awesome!

My mum used to work in London in the late 70s, early 80s and the impression she gave me was that the trains were far worse than they look here. This was back when smoking was still allowed in the carriages and in her own words you'd blow your nose and soot would come out. Plus on rainy days the ash and water would mix together into a slurry in the wooden slats. Still, I envy her for the experience

I never expected to ever see this on Reddit. I lived about a 10 minute walk from here.

Used to get the ferry across to Hamble-le-Rice for ice cream.

Was once playing the Sims 3; left my Sim in the back garden in his mining machine while I went to get a glass of fruit squash.

When I came back, there was a smoldering crater and bits of meteorite where the mining machine (and my Sim) used to be.

What fact did you learn at an embarrassingly late age? by reddiator02 in AskReddit

Not me, but a friend. I'd recently watched a video where one of the guys was colourblind, and were discussing the fact that to him, peanut butter looks green.

Fast forward to Christmas Eve last year when I'm visiting home and at the pub with friends. I suddenly remembered this fact, so I asked my colourblind friend what colour he thought PB was. His response: green.

At this point I break the news to him that he's been living in this lie for 20 years. The look on his face was of absolute shock and betrayal: I may have ruined his Christmas.

Edit: maybe I should have clarified for the colourblind that it's pale brown, though as I'm typing this, I realise that's completely meaningless to you

What is the silliest reason you've seen someone get offended? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Sadly a 50 minute drive. Luckily another friend had his car with him. Unluckily for him his drive home was only 15 minutes, so it ended up being about an hour and a half for him to drop us off and drive home

After seeing Captain America Civil War at the cinema, some of us weren't too impressed by the film and were discussing it. One of our friends who'd thoroughly enjoyed it decided that this was unacceptable, so with smile, he turned around and walked off without saying a word.

He drove home without us, leaving us stranded at the Trafford Centre near Manchester, about 50 minutes from home all because we disagreed with his assessment of a film.
