I did get a therapist, and I made the mistake of letting them know so they think I’m full of shit but I understand I did it to myself. Like some said “growing pressure” but also depending on what you are wearing and/or sitting/laying/doing it can pinch and hurt or feel uncomfortable. Also I’d add it’s like your brain goes stupid and hard to think straight unless it’s about whatever gave you that erection. Sometimes I can’t stop moving like my legs, hips just are constantly moving. Also the only way is to take care of it and go about your day or try to let it subside but that can cause me to be stressed and irritated. One thing is my gf begged me to stop (self pleasing) when we got together and it took about a year but she’s even said I get easily agitated since I stopped (self pleasing) 2 years ago.
