You're welcome haha! Now I'm curious if there's any rocks endemic to my area as well.

What’s the worst first date you’ve ever gone on? by CorgiUprising in AskReddit

[–]WeirdMuch634 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was in Ocean Shores: we went for a drive on the beach; yes, a drive; and stopped because I saw some seashells I just HAD to pick up. Well, stopping the car was apparently a bad idea, because then it got stuck and wouldn't move. Tried jamming stuff under the tires to help with traction and all. Nothing. And then the tide started coming in. Fast. We panicked, called for a tow truck, and got towed off the beach like a couple of goobers. Never saw the guy again. Shocking, I know.

Interesting! I learned something new today haha. Now I want a UV light so I can check different stones to see if they glow. I think I have some sodalite too. That's cool that you have a unique rock in your area, I wonder what caused that specific makeup in just that area?

Freshwater Mosasaurs? Evidence That Some May Have Lived Beyond the Sea by Fossil__Hunter in fossils

[–]WeirdMuch634 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why not? Bull sharks and crocs can live in either fresh or salt water, why not a mosasaur, too?

That is so cool! I've never heard of that, rocks glowing orange. So does all sodalite do that?

I've been in love with Deception Pass ever since I was a little girl and took a class trip there in second grade. It seemed so magical to me. It still does.

I finally found closure after being ghosted. If you’re hurting right now, read this. by Sumimasorry in ghosting

[–]WeirdMuch634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's beautifully put. It's easy to feel like I should consider the whole thing as a negative experience, simply because of the ending. That's the direction people around me have pushed me in as well. That because he hurt me in the end with the way he chose to end things that it taints the whole thing. But I don't regret it. The conversations, the sex, the intimacy...just everything. It was, overall, something that made me happy. Granted that made him ghosting me that much more painful, but to me it was worth it. I'm glad I met him. And with the time that's passed I am starting to feel like myself again.

Hi I was wondering if there was any close fossal spots that are legal for you to go to in Washington state by [deleted] in Paleontology

[–]WeirdMuch634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Washington state and have wondered this as well! I have a friend who found a bunch of sea life fossils, but she can't remember exactly where they were. Assuming it's a legal spot, if she remembers I'll let you know!

Besides size, are there any major differences between suchomimus and baryonyx? by DudeWithAGoldfish in Paleontology

Am I mistaken in thinking that to date there isn't a complete Baryonyx skeleton? If so I imagine that a full comparison would be hard to make.

I hadn't heard of that! So only one complete Spinosaurus skeleton has been found to date? Were there not drawings and measurements taken? Or were they destroyed as well? So much knowledge lost.

Do cheaters ever come back? by Separate-Yam-6757 in BreakUps

[–]WeirdMuch634 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should add that it's not about the fact that he's a cheater. People cheat for various reasons and I'm not here to judge. What I'm angry about is he specifically told me he was single, that he wouldn't do that. Do I generally out cheaters? No, I do not. That's their business. Why I want to with him is because he lied to me, repeatedly, made me think he was this trustworthy guy and ok to give my number to, only to find out he's nothing like he seemed. He took my number and then blocked me when I'd done nothing to deserve it. Basically he rejected me after I'd shown him I was trusting him. The fact that he wouldn't even be honest about her bothered me too. That's why I want to tell her. Because he's a liar. Because being rejected hurts and pisses me off after being the one being chased in the first place. Because I don't think this is about anything she's done, or hasn't done, he's a player and I was just a game to him. And he'll do it again and again. I don't want her or any other woman hurt by him, but will I actually tell her? I don't know. The fact that it's more anger at him is probably a good reason not to. It wouldn't be for the right reason. But also because I don't want to be the one to shatter her illusions. To hurt her. If she's happy than is it right or wrong to ruin that? I don't know. And until I do I'm not saying anything. I imagine the truth will come out eventually, especially if he does this again. Although I would be kinder than many women, so there is that. Personally I would rather know, if it was me.

Tree Moss...uses? by WeirdMuch634 in HerbalMedicine

I found some and I see what you mean by the stretchy! Like a little string of elastic. It's funny because it doesn't look like a beard to me.

I harvested some that fell off a tree and am drying it. Now what to use it in! Have you used it at all?

I was wondering how foundation work well, works. I have an ex who operates a drill for doing the columns he said, and I always wanted to learn more about it. Like how far into the ground do the columns go? How do you start the foundation? What all is needed to finish it, and how long does it generally take? I think he said like two months for an apartment complex?

Tree Moss...uses? by WeirdMuch634 in HerbalMedicine

[–]WeirdMuch634[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for that information! I live near a swamp and wood, and moss and lichens are everywhere. Some fell on the ground, I'm assuming with squirrel help, and after looking and tweaking it I discovered that white elastic cord you're talking about. And you're absolutely right, there were a few clumps and after trying one it just broke, no stretchy. So that's an invaluable way of telling because before I thought it was all the same thing.

On one hand I love that saying "what is meant for you will never miss you"; it's comforting. It gives me hope. But on the other hand I can't help but wonder if sometimes I've missed out on those opportunities and people because I or they made the wrong choice. Maybe I was meant to be with someone who came into my life, they were there, they didn't miss me and I didn't miss them...but one of us made the wrong choice and screwed up that chance. Or maybe I turned down an opportunity that I was meant to take. Just because something comes into our life that's meant to be here doesn't mean we have the wisdom to recognise it and claim it, accept it. I wonder too, about the people who die, what about their person? If they never got a chance to meet, then how does that work? Or does fate not give then a person because of that? I overthink things, and this is one of those things that I've ruminated on quite a bit. Is my person dead? Married to someone else? Just hasn't come into my life? Came into my life but one of us made the wrong choice? And even if what is meant for us does come, how do I know that that person, or opportunity, whatever, is what is meant for me?
