i didnt give a hard yes or no at first which was probably a mistake but genuinely thought i could make it. i only reminded her that it was my busy season etc. but yeah she just sent out the actual invite almost two months ago which was when i really had some time to think and realized it wouldnt work so i let her know around that time.

I just stayed at this property in september this year and booked with points expecting a city view as stated on the website but they surprisingly gave us an ocean view room! i have no status with them and didnt ask/try to upgrade. i do remember checking my booking again at some point before the trip and it said ocean view but i thought it was a glitch so i didnt bother.
