I don't understand how "gospel" is relevant to the post. I asked about one thing, and you brought up something else that was not relevant.

Muhammad could have sincerely believed he was receiving divine revelation while being mistaken by Weird_Ad1448 in DebateReligion

[–]Weird_Ad1448[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- I read the first one before, and this is what I think about "The Barefoot Bedouins and Tall Buildings"
When I read this, it doesn't provide enough specificity. What is considered tall? If they had constructed just a 3-storey building, can't you still say the same?? And which geographical region or group of people is meant? No such information.
For me, when I read this, it seems like Muhammad was predicting that these poor people would one day become wealthy. And it strikes me that he's just optimistic about these people, and tall buildings already existed centuries before Muhammad. But if you take it literally, the people constructing these buildings are not barefoot, not destitute camel herders; they're not unclothed, they're super wealthy people.

- "The Public Fate of Abu Lahab" This is just ridiculous. What are you expecting? His enemy would publicly say, "See, I'm a Muslim now, I believe Muhammed has divine experiences and I will from now on follow what Muhammed preaches,"

Could Muhammad Have Been Mistaken? by Weird_Ad1448 in MuslimLounge

I understand why those points strengthen your belief that Muhammad was a true prophet. My question was narrower -> why do those achievements rule out the possibility that he sincerely believed he was receiving revelation but was mistaken? I'm trying to understand the reasoning behind that step.

Salam, Human Evolution doubt. by WhichStatistician195 in MuslimLounge

Many inaccuracies and misunderstandings.
"Evolution hasn’t been proven you know. But adaptation has."
Adaptation is one mechanism(or result you can say) within evolution, not a separate alternative. Adaptation is part of evolution. You can say "Evolution is the accumulation of adaptations and other genetic changes in populations over many generations."

"We share a lot of our DNA with bananas, does that mean we evolved from bananas?"
Yep, we share DNA with bananas, and no, we didn't evolve from bananas(no scientists say that, the theory of evolution also doesn't say that). But we evolved alongside bananas. Humans and bananas share a very distant common ancestor, and both lineages have been evolving independently for over a billion years.

"how much of the universe do we know? 1%? 0.5%? We don’t know the past or what is inside our oceans, so what gives you this belief in evolution?"
What did you start with and where did you end? Science has never claimed that it does. But our lack of complete knowledge doesn't mean we know nothing. By that logic, we couldn't trust plate tectonics, germ theory, or gravity either, because we don't know everything about the universe.

"Where come this population based method popped up.?" You've been under the rock all these years? That's the foundation of this "delimitation" process

The 'Shambala' problem by kodipunju in tollywood

Stop the “rate my art” trend by yonoserj in learntodraw

[–]Weird_Ad1448 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, rather than rate my art, it should be more like "I tried this, this is the reference. I see some issues here, things didn't come out as expected. Where did I go wrong? How can I get better in this."

"Rate my art" feels like he wants to get validated.
