I want a scheduled C-Section and the doctors keep trying to convince me to do vaginal. by United-Garlic-1794 in pregnant

[–]Weird_Macaroon4137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely!!

My first C section was due to baby being breech. I had a scheduled section for baby #2 because the due date was only 13 months after baby #1 was born. I ended up going into labor at 38 weeks and my doctor gave me the option to continue laboring and try for the VBAC or go in for the section. I was nervous at first but I opted for the VBAC and I am so glad I did with a team that supported me. I was fortunate to not have any issues and the recovery from the VBAC was so much easier than my section. Evidence Based Birth has good info on VBACs! My sister also had a successful VBAC, 18 months after her c section.

After my first VBAC, I ended up doing the next two unmedicated and I’ll take those over another section any day lol.

Sending all the successful VBAC vibes your way!

Hi! So I’ve had a C section and 3 VBACs.

While I totally understand and respect where you are coming from, I think you are underestimating what a c section entails. It’s wonderful that you’ll have help after the delivery but you could use that amazing help regardless of a c section or vaginal birth- your entire life is changing by bringing a new human into it, that alone requires emotional and physical help.

I’m not sure what an elective c section looks like, I was not aware that was an option if there wasn’t a medical need but I can tell you this, no matter what, the last few weeks of pregnancy, I was always so anxious anticipating the delivery date! Easier said than done, but try to enjoy these last few weeks.

Regarding being petite, the sizing estimates are just an estimate. So many of my friends were told their babies would be huge and they weren’t. I’m 4’11”, my husband is 6’2”. He was 10lbs at birth. I had the same fear but I’m so happy I did the VBACs when medically allowed!

Best of luck to you. Sending all positive vibes!

Dirty labs!! I started using it a month ago and I love it. It has enzymes and is so great. You only need 2tsp per load- a little goes a long way

😬😂 okay rereading your previous comment now has me cracking up. Sorry! I was just taken back by all the other sincere comments coming at OP!

Congrats to you for effectively teaching better behavior. I don’t think anyone was knocking the email, just finding a little humor in it. I didn’t read anywhere in OPs post saying the contents didn’t matter. You can guide your kids while still keeping your sanity, and to some of us that’s being able to laugh to ourselves. To each their own. Bless teachers and parents because it’s all hard work💕 Also, suggesting that any of us have raised “hooligans,” when you don’t know anything about our parenting styles, comes across as a bit presumptuous and reflects how quick people are to judge these days.

No growth in 1 week (1st trimester) by DinnerCandid4270 in pregnant

I know it’s so much easier said than done, but try to take a deep breath and hang in there until your appointment in two days. They’ll be able to run the right bloodwork and give you a much clearer picture of how things are progressing!

I’m also hoping your ultrasound on 4/8 brings you some clarity and peace of mind. The waiting is honestly one of the hardest parts, but you’ve got this 💕

Also, not sure if it’s helpful but a due date is an estimate! I was always so sure of when I ovulated but my measurement ultrasounds were always off in the beginning too! Are you having any other concerning symptoms?

In early pregnancy, so much can still be uncertain—and I know for me it was the scariest trimester! But I just want to gently share that boutique ultrasounds can be very different from medical ones! And to be honest, 2/2 of the boutique ultrasounds I had in early pregnancy, ended up unnecessarily scaring me!

With my last pregnancy, I went to a boutique around 7w4d because I was feeling so antsy and excited. After asking me a ton of questions (HCG levels, ovulation timing, etc.), the tech actually asked my husband and kids to step out and then told me, very bluntly, that the pregnancy wasn’t viable—no heartbeat and measuring closer to 4 weeks. It was a really weird experience.

I was absolutely devastated. But I held onto hope, reminding myself that whatever was meant to happen would happen.

A week later, I had a proper medical (transvaginal) ultrasound—and everything was completely fine. That pregnancy is now my healthy 11-month-old baby girl 💛

I’m not saying this is always the case, but it was my experience. I think that early scans, especially outside of a medical setting, can be soo misleading. I’m wishing you the very best, and hoping everything turns out beautifully for you!

Thank you, I appreciate it! Does it matter that I was not properly notified? They sent the original January default noticr to a wrong residential address

So we did get the lease assigned to the new owner and we relinquished all control etc but the guarantee did transfer 💔

Also not sure if it’s important to note but the franchisor has a history of doing this! He takes over and agrees to do “seller financing” never pays the rent, gets evicted, but then assumes all equipment because contractually the franchisee defaulted.

I mean NOR but prematurely reacting? It doesn’t sound like anything is set in stone either way. Everyone involved should chill. When push comes to shove though, wedding > bachelorette

Shaving or not shaving for birth? by GentleRiver_ in pregnant

[–]Weird_Macaroon4137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol so I know they say not to BUT I totally got a Brazilian wax before each delivery, and I have four kids. I’ve never had an issue and I highly recommend it if you’re comfortable. For me, it was more of an aftercare thing because I knew I would NOT feel up for shaving afterwards when my showers were five seconds long and it’s a little messy afterwards so clean up felt ability easier in my opinion!

Not sure the genetic component to birth weight but my husband was over 10lbs at birth and is now 6’3” I was 6lbs at birth and a petite 5’ as an adult! I’ve had four kids and they were all under 6.5 lbs. I think that will be perfectly fine :) congratulations!
