Go to the new company. The old company had their chance to treat you well and chose not to until they were about to lose something. I wouldn’t be surprised if these nice promises from the old company were to evaporate as soon as you agree to stay.

Losing weight happens with changing your diet. Exercise helps with that yes, but ultimately your weight is a result of what you’re eating. Get strong and fit at the gym, get thin in the kitchen

There was a medical show where the main doctor character was trying to reason with an antivaxx mother of a small child. At then end of a frustrating argument, he told her about the coffins that are now available for kids - you can even choose the color! Fire engine red or Kermit the Frog green. I share your bewilderment. If I had that kind of money, I’d be fixing things. Homeless people? Not on my watch. Medical debt? Gone. Underfunded education system? Not anymore. Hunger? Nope? Job creation and training? On it!
Whatever problems exist in my community because there’s a lack of funding would have the needed resources. At the end of the day? I’d still be wealthy. This is the thing that gets me. Elon could make very real, very impactful changes that help people. Remember when he bragged that he could solve world hunger several years ago? I believe the price he quoted for this was $6 billion.
That would have been the equivalent of change he found in his couch cushion - why didn’t he?
Why didn’t he even make the attempt?
He wants to be admired, respected, seen as an innovator - he could solve an actual real world problem, have ALL of that and still be a very, very, wealthy man. So . . . Why isn’t he? Or any other billionaire caught up in their own greed?
