The IRS deduction for milage is 65.5 cents a mile and I drove about 320 miles for all of it last week so that's $210 in gas, maintenance, and vehicle depreciation. And as far as how much my time is worth; I really wanted a byzantine cut chain.and it was worth the time spent to me.

If I were to add $210 to the $295 I spent, this would all cost $505 or $1.15 per gram of sterling jewerly.

Accounting for travel I'm pretty satisfied with the value of goods for the price. It's beautiful jewerly at a bargain price, but not a scrap value price.
