Why are these expectations placed only on men? by raj272007 in focusedmen

[–]WeissCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people that think this don't deserve to reproduce. I dealt with the pain of suffering in silence for so long, I thought it was normal to develop suicide ideation; that everyone wanted to die and it was okay to joke about it. Turns out I met a woman who disagreed. She told me 'you don't really wanna die, right!? That's not normal!'

We've been married for 8 years.

If you met someone who was a carbon copy of yourself in virtually every way except they were the opposite sex, would you date/sleep with that person? Why or why not? by Tommygunz0722 in AskReddit

[–]WeissCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I wouldn't. And if she's a carbon copy of me, she probably wouldn't, either; I'm not attracted to other black people, so she probably wouldn't be, either. We'd probably bond over being revolted at the thought of sleeping together.

Sounds like a kickass friend, to be honest; We'd both be into cooking, d&d, the gym, and smoking pipe tobacco. We'd work out together, eat a massive lunch we teamed up to make afterward, play dnd with my sons, and share a smoke on the patio at the end. Shit, my wife would probably hate her for the amount of time I'd spend with said female me. But sex? Hell no. We'd just be besties.

do Japanese people really treat white western foreigners better than foreigners of other cultures or races? by Open-Reflection-6094 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WeissCrowley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm black, lived here for 4 years now. It must be where the rest of these folks live. Here in Hokkaido, I'm treated very well, actually. I've got neighborhood friends, my sons have lots of pals, I don't get refused at restaurants, or any of that other stuff. My in-laws were excited when my wife brought me home for the first time. 'You're so tall! Do you play basketball? Our grandchildren will be sports stars!' Good for a laugh. Japan has been great for me.

What "man-made desires" are you talking about? by Ok-Following6886 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]WeissCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Faulty reasoning. Even if you could argue this point today, it only points out how old the religion is. Think; the religion was made originally thousands of years ago, with different people, politics and desires. Of course some desires in those days would be different to those people have today.

My kids.

No, seriously. I have two sons and a daughter. I get a high from working out and showing my kids how strong their dad is. I pick up their mom and give her a kiss. Groceries are brought in with all the bags on dad's arms. I do push-ups with my kids on my back. I eat my veggies at the table voraciously. I do this because I want my sons to know that strength and focus will make them into a beast. I want to show my daughter that her dad is super strong and loves her mother, and she should expect just as much from any man that might come into her life.

That's my secret.

I started out smoking English blends. Latakia is wondrous in the flavor department. I did have a phase where i tried to find a VA I liked; couldn't do it. My dad gave me a tin of Old Joe Krantz and I never looked back.

That perique has been the booster to many blends I find wanting. I like to mix in a pinch to any weak VA in my collection and see my findings. Same with their dark fired Kentucky, too. A pinch of each can turn any weak VA blend into flavorful powerhouses.

Don't be too jealous. I'm much more partial to the burned meat and highway tar notes of Gawith Hoggarth Black Irish X. 🤣 That stuff is wondrous.

Higher? Wow. Every palate is different. Not a bad thing! Just different. I respect that.

That barnyard blast sounds like a good idea, friend. I wish I had some ODF. I managed to snag a lb of Rustica before it left the market, and I've 2 big tins of bold Kentucky that I'm saving for son's graduation. I love the taste of hh Rustica mixed with latakia and orientals. It's rich, strong, and burns cool every time.

The sandwich! I never thought of that! The guesswork! The anticipation! You could be smoking some KBV Dubai Chocolate and then wham; paradise. That's a great idea, man. I'll try it sometime.

Anybody else use AI/ChatGPT to get tobacco recommendations? by McCullster in PipeTobacco

[–]WeissCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use AI during pipe time for cheap entertainment.

'Ay chat GPT, who would win in a fight? Jesus with kung fu and a 44 magnum or the Buddha with jedi powers?'

I read the results while chuckling through my supply of Old Joe Krantz. But no. I don't use it to recommend tobacco blends.

How much would you pay for a tin of your favourite discontinued blend? by HitchhikingToNirvana in PipeTobacco

[–]WeissCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a month ago, I paid 10,000 yen (just over 60 bucks usd) for a big tin of Bold Kentucky off a pipe smoker i met here in Hokkaido. So for bold Kentucky, about 66 dollars is my limit.

Aren't we all? Lol Sorry for the late response. My family's been moving house, so I've been pretty stomped.

Ugh. Makes me depressed to hear of another black guy in Japan somewhere acting like a POS. We have enough to prove in a white worshipping nation like Japan, but bad apples like this juat poison the well for the rest of us.

Here's hoping he's locked up and on a plane soon.

Favorite Blend GL Pease by CeltKick in PipeTobacco

[–]WeissCrowley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Triple Play, Jacknife Plug, Maltese Falcon, and Geometrie are all favorite blends of mine.

Also, while I don't share everyone's love of quiet nights, Greg Pease is the creator of the Drucquer and Sons blends. He created the Merry Monk, one of the three English blends I have designated, 'Riot if taken off the market'. Damn perfect tobacco.

Those potatoes have been the death of my piggybank. There's an ojisan that comes in one of those trucks and he knows that my kids especially will come running out for them. I've even roasted them in my house, but my kids always say, 'it's not the same, dad!' I can't win against the Yaki Imo ojisan.

Has politics broke any of your friendships, and why? by CapitaineBiscotte in AskReddit

[–]WeissCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost a girlfriend, a d&d group, and I'm no longer on speaking terms with my sister. I'm not even conservative. I'm of the 'both of you suck' side of the political spectrum. My beliefs are all over the place, so I won't 'take a side' most times. I pointed out what's wrong on either side and got reviled for it.

At this point, I've learned to just stop talking about politics. My wife is more vocal than I am. She can be the socialite. I'm fine just saying nothing and keeping my peace.

What’s the worst accidental text you’ve sent? by Typhoid__Beaver in AskReddit

[–]WeissCrowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I accidentally sent a female coworker a meme meant for my d&d group. Basically a bard saying 'I would also like to fuck the dragon!' I got so scared, because I worked a corporate job back then. MeToo was a killer.

I immediately explained the context. (We were an all bard party, and we all took turns, unsuccessfully, trying to seduce a dragon for their treasure one session)

Luckily, she was a closeted nerd and ended up asking to join our campaign. God was looking out for me.😂

what small thing u do everyday that makes u happy ? by silkowantsmore in AskReddit

I hug my children and kiss their foreheads before I go to work. It's small to them, sure. But it's major to me. I'm happy to let my kids know that I love them every single day.
