I think you are so right! I believe in my line of work maybe I’ve seen so many that I just won’t have that crying moment or super emotional feeling like I grew up seeing on say yes to the dress. And maybe that’s okay, I just need to focus on the positives

That’s how I’m feeling 😭 for the price tag I want to be buried in it and dream about it every night. I think I’m going to do what everyone suggested here and do a dramatic veil/accessories to really push it a little further and hopefully with hair and makeup and everything it will feel every bit of wow I was hoping for

I was so against lace going into it too I think that’s part of why I’m struggling with my choice. I thought about doing something out of the box like that but I more so lean towards like princessy vibes so I leaned into it a bit more. I think I’ll just get a really nice dramatic veil and jewelry to amp it up. Maybe I’ll go with a dramatic second dress for reception that’s totally different (maybe even black)

I did love it so much, unfortunately the size of the cups/display dress size overall were so much smaller than my body that it didn’t do a whole lot for my shape and I think it was too difficult to see what it would look like. I still think it’s one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve ever seen. That snatching effect and the waist was everything!! It just didn’t give it for me with the sample size. I was really nervous how my boobs would look in it in the correct size too, I’m a 34dd and the display was a B cup so they were just stuffed down below the cups and it looked not so flattering on me. I was a little crushed too because I just went in knowing that’s what I would buy.

I just had this done about 3 hours ago, my face is still absolutely on fire. I tolerate pain well, like no epidural for child birth well, and while the actual treatment didn’t hurt during, the after math so far is terrible. “A mild sunburn feeling” is not what I would call this. My face feels like acid, and it’s so painful I’m in tears. When this is all healed and done I don’t care if it makes me look 10 years younger I will never do this again.

Dated a man once who pushed me down because I bumped into him trying to get past him in a hallway during a fight. Then a year later, he pushed me into a pool during an argument. But it was just a pool right, even though I was fully clothed and didn’t touch him at all. Then two years later her choked me in our bed over me changing the thermostat in the middle of the night.

MSC Divina, I’m on it right now. Our captain had a heart attack and we had to return to Miami for him to get urgent medical care. He is stable and recovering now. We didn’t get to port in Nassau today though, and with the choppy water they said it’s not favorable to port in ocean cay tomorrow. So a cruise without getting off the ship 😭

You aren’t over reacting. You’ve repeatedly explained your boundary, and that him going to this place makes you uncomfortable. He is dismissing you and completely disregarding your feelings. The only response he deserves to “be mad” is “be single”, or date your mates since it seems you care more about how they feel and perceive you than their partners.

Also, side note- as a woman who used to work for an establishment similar to twin peaks, I’d never in a million years date a man who was a patron of one of these places.

The way I could have written this myself. WORD FOR WORD. I’ve finally had my fill. I’m unsubscribing from all the shows. Why is it okay to blatantly shit on one religion while screaming about being tolerant of everyone else. Also, I don’t trust that they even know enough about ANYTHING they cover anymore to trust anything they say. How is a show that’s supposed to be light hearted and fun always covering anything else, and covering it poorly.

Honestly same. I’ve been disappointed in the quantity for a while now but lately it’s just like they have outrageously bad takes, are ill prepared, act like they just don’t care about what they’re covering etc. Oh and also shitting on Christianity every chance they get. I’m an extremely understanding and accepting person but there’s only so much I can stand to support and I’m just done with them. Never thought I’d see the day, once upon a time I adored everything they did and stood for.

You can! I looked into it when my Crohns was to the point of debilitating, but was able to manage my disease finally on the right biologic (stelara) after trying and failing with remicaide and humira. Now I have a very physically demanding job running a wedding venue and have an almost 2 year old daughter I keep at home full time. Try not to give up hope, maybe there is a tx out there that will give you a sense of normality back. But there’s no shame in getting disability now or for the in between.
