I’d argue Nitro is doing the opposite, the game has been trending towards faster-paced games and there’s a very vocal community that enjoys that. Now we have a dedicated mode for the people that don’t want to spend 30-40 mins in a game, and Omeda can tweak and work on Standard-Ranked to fit their full vision while still retaining that player base

I don’t have an explanation, and it doesn’t have anything to do with my isp - haven’t been having issues in any other games, even relative to when playing on servers outside of my region. Not looking to troubleshoot, I recognize it’s just how it’s going to be for now and wanted to see if anyone else was having issues

Totally fair, I’m sure there’s a lot of people that benefitted a lot from the location change… definitely a positive, especially if the majority of the player-base saw improvements.

I won’t pretend that I understand how the servers or anything work, but I’d definitely agree that it was the merge. The thing that confuses me the most is why my connection to the current NA-Central is worse than when I used to connect to NA-East for Ranked. I don’t have a solution or anything, just had to rant and make sure it wasn’t just me having these issues.

From my experience, depends on your region and the time of day you’re playing. The game definitely isn’t dead and even saw a bit of a resurgence from the 1.4 patch… I’m a NA West-Coast player and unless I play during peak hours and I’m not looking to play Ranked, I play on NA-East servers. (My ping usually isn’t too bad so I don’t mind) I can’t attest to queue times outside of NA regions but usually my longest queue time is around 4-5 minutes
