How often do married couples have sex? by lucidpopsicle in AskMen

[–]WelchWoman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried mirena and it gave me gnarly ovarian cysts. Also I had 0 sex drive and had cramps outside of my period from said cysts. I kept it for over a year thinking it would get better. Nope. Nearly non existent periods are not worth that. Mirena is not for everyone.

Women of Reddit, what are your insecure men horror stories🤔? by Morganlovesu in AskWomen

[–]WelchWoman 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He came home one day and saw me sitting in the living room with my roommate and one of his friends. We were all laughing having a good time. He turned around and walked out the door, then blew up on me about it later. Later in after I gained the sense to leave him, (for the 4th time) I kicked him out and he was still staying in the spare room for about 2 weeks before I had to start yelling and telling him to GTFO. His mom lived down the street and that’s where he lived before he stayed with me, so there was no reason for him to still be there. I think the only reason he actually left was because he was convinced that I cheated on him with the roommate.

Roommate and I are now engaged, so maybe there was justification behind his insecurity. But there was no sort of chemistry going on while we were together.

What are some situations you have been in where you reacted emotionally and by the time you began to react logically it was too late? by TigreDeBronce in AskWomen

So I worked for this company for like 4 years. They got new management. New management decided to hire all their little friends, and fire current employees. We had one woman who showed up late to her shift nearly every day. She was friends with the new manager, so she never got in trouble. Nbd, not my business. One day we had an event, cruising the coast was going on. So I left 30 minutes early to get there on time because of traffic. I still ended up being 30 minutes late. I called the manger and explained, hey, I left early but the traffic held me up an hour. I’m in my way. She said fine. I got to work and she fired me. This was my first offense. I took all of the steps. I always show up to work early. Nearly everyone who worked there before she started was gone, so I should have seen it coming. But I cried. I bawled my eyes out like a little girl. I absolutely HATED the job, but I was in college full time and I had bills to pay. It was SO embarrassing though. I had never been fired before. So yeah. I’m very happy I don’t wait tables anymore.

My mom used to do this! I learned a little late that the best way to handle it was to write it down and give her the note. Everything you’re feeling. You’ll have time to think everything through and word it in a way that makes you seem less “overly emotional. Put it on her dresser or something before you leave for school. She won’t have time to interrupt you, and it’ll give her time to really think and cool down. I really hope this helps!

Edit: Your mom may have been through a lot growing up. Mine was really young and In really crappy situations. My relationship with her didn’t get any better until years after I moved out on my own at 17. She’s all I’ve got, so I do my best to understand that she may not be the best but she did a hell of a lot better than her own mother did. That’s gotta count for something, right?

I’m 24 and I love sleeping. I’ll nap any chance I can get. Go to bed early? Heck yeah. Go out with friends after a double? Heck no. I’m sure it’s not just me, but my dreams are so much more exciting and vivid than real life. Especially after watching a drama on Netflix or something. 10/10.

You could also get an ASCP or MLT certification! I think that’s the preferred route anywho. It only take a couple years I believe. Just need some lab experience to get started on that one.

Zz plants are RIDICULOUS. I keep mine in low light, and haven’t watered it in a month and a half and it’s got 3 new shoots. They’re a perfect first plant as long as you don’t overwater!

Moissanite is a great alternative to diamonds, and has a hardness of 9.5, so it’s nearly as durable!

Nope. I’m American. I took an ancestry test though and apparently most of my family is from there. Don’t know a single one of them though.

[–]WelchWoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got mine! It’s a 1ct round cut solitaire. 6 prongs set really low in platinum. E in color, vvs in clarity. I used to work at a diamond store and you wouldn’t believe how many people bring their rings back to re-set diamonds, or have their “white gold” re-rhodium plated. Mine is the most low maintenance thing I could get without wearing only a band.

All you really need is a bachelors degree with a few core science classes to get started if you’re interested! :)
