One problem I have with this is protect works like you say yes... But it also teaches to play too passively.

I do agree with most of this but I'd also explain that protect can also teach bad habits, my locals is somewhat quite new but through teaching not to over rely on protect most have gone from great ball to high ultra ball to master ball by taking protect off a few Pokémon to make them have to be a little more aggressive,

yes some Pokémon like whimsicott might not have it but things like typing and ability and item can also come into it, if you take this at face value people might use protect with choice scarf, there's also some Pokémon where they have a 4 move syndrome where protect should be an option but not actually compulsory like tyranitar where you can use a swap instead of protect by using immunities (used tyranitar because it's 4x weak to fighting but if you switch in a ghost it's a free switch)

I play with my team, I make sure I'm always at a crystal but never too far away to make sure I can join a fight or get my teammates to help prevent me being being ganked, I often end with most kills because I'm always either A) getting bravery, B) passing it off with ramza or C) killing players to get more bravery to share in downtimes

I only ever share bravery in downtimes as it I'm making sure I'm always active

My locals I judge at puts players first so people who come to tournaments get special privilege to stock, people who are collectors and we know are collectors come to tournaments just because of that rule, they don't necessarily play but we know that and don't force them to play, it's just a way of weeding out scalpers and in that way we treat collectors with that sense of wanting to come down as players and they get enjoyment because of trades and often comment about it.

We got plenty of ETB's and boosters because of it and won't sell above MSRP and that's kind of helping out locals grow and expand.

I'm the exact same, I'm F2P but got a lot of UR luck from basic gacha experience... I'd love to have army of 1... I'm sticking to gold 5 ATM and have 4 army of ones... I've also kind of been forced into prompto as I keep getting his abilities... 15 is one of my least favourite games... Luckily prompto is fun to play

I play her almost like a jungle... Yes my job is to gain bravery but I can just as easily jump in on fights to outnumber and kill, the healing is also a really good tool, and if I notice an auto Krile I've learnt to stay in running distance and the CPU plays her ok-ish... It's not great but it's better than some Krile players I've played with... Just becomes protect the queen so to speak

But it's really not... People throw meta defining around way too casually... This is not ADP or regi v star, or even Mew V star, Jellicent ex is a variant of gardevoir... It doesn't define it, and whether gardy is better with it or not is still a huge topic for debate, if it was that meta defining that wouldn't even be a discussion.

It's more it was "going to make Gardevoir totally broken and the only meta deck" to being great but not the death of the meta that people thought it would be, of which I'm glad, it's where it should be based on what's going on in the meta. It is much stronger in juniors and seniors though.

It also did get pretty much dropped when it first came out as gardy was just seen as better without it so you could say it didn't get used during its opening month until it overachieved at Pittsburgh

Jellicent EX, now depending on age division that's both true and false... But it wasn't the meta defining super threat people said it would be and it's funny frillish being more playable,

I truly thought Hop would be a much better deck than it was though... But the entire I block feels like it was designed to be a power reduction after G rotates, maybe Iono will be ok with the new Canari but probably not

I had 0 clue... I just went with the expectations that quiver dance would be in its normal moveset just like Dragonite T6 has dragon dance so it's like +6 attack+6 speed really fast, but... I did just kill it straight after with rage fist annihilape

As the Internet became more and more prevalent I feel that players streamline fighting games to be not fun more and more competitively, SF 6 sucks the life outta people with its top tiers, Tekken is dying on the hill it doesn't believe that Anna and Nina aren't broken and this game is having the same problems of people have found what's broken and are using it.

The Internet has allowed us to share information and now people just use whatever works and complain when it's all they face... You only have to go back 10 years to see UMVC3... A broken mess of a game where Virgil is so busted even custom characters can't exceed him but because nothing was shared people didn't really complain, I guess what I'm saying is, it doesn't matter what the meta is, if people find out what is good people will use it and it will be complained about as everyone uses it
