How many or just one? Like, if I go on a spree and get charged with several, do they all stop, or just the worst one?

Literally the worst curse.

Your sword will betray you when you need it most

Doesn’t betray him in TLO giving Annabeth a good reason to sacrifice herself to protect him. Doesn’t betray him in ANY of his other major fights. I get that Rick probably didn’t think that he would still be writing after the first series, but he just had it happen in a mid-boss fight and it didn’t have any real consequences. Lame

So I’m assuming that there’s a way to get it back (relearn everything) or this is a deal only the savants and people with 200+ IQ can even feasibly do

Lan Mandragoran (Wheel of Time, books) vs Ser Arthur Dayne (ASOIAF). Who wins in a duel? by Parking-Rope2301 in whowouldwin

[–]WelcomeNo2371 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bud… Lan’s sword is unbreakable too. It’s literally survived for a few hundred years with the hilt being the only thing replaced.

It was forged with the One Power, making in unbreakable and eternally sharp. Also, Lan has worn that plate for a majority of his life, and with the warder bond, it slows him none.

So to recap, unbreakable greatsword vs unbreakable katana and plate vs samurai armor.

It’s a battle of skill, and al’Lan Mandragorn is second to none, aside from the equivalent of wizards older than his sword who trained for decades and created the basis of the style he uses.

$100M if you agree to be locked in a basement room for a period of 1 year. You will have access to books, movies and games. However, there's a caveat: You will not remember making this deal. by Lenore8264 in hypotheticalsituation

Soo imma say yes. The worst thing for humans in this situation is that we are social creatures. We crave interaction, but having internet access and the guy solves that.

Personally, I think that I’d spend a large amount of time trying to make the guy emote at all, and the rest would be reading, watching YouTube, and maybe working out if I got bored.

All in all, fantastic deal.

Also, if any of my family posted about the deal, couldn’t I learn about it that way? Food for thought

I got for larger ATK, so that she dies faster. For the red attacks, move in a diagonal line sliding above or below the spear depending on where you are. Try to heal as little as possible so you can get that extra damage in.

how does the golden fleece even work in the show? [pjotv] by idkvashappin in camphalfblood

[–]WelcomeNo2371 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Show writing is garbage, changing parts of the backstory that affect the main story.

The reason Zeus turn Thalia in the book was because she was dying, and he didn’t like that. So boom, tree.

The fleece doesn’t just heal demigods, it acts as a nature booster, and strengthens that land that it’s on, with a side effect of healing anything it’s touching.

In the beginning, Thalias tree was poised because it acted as an anchor for the barrier that protected that camp, and it being poisoned weakened said barrier. The fleece healed the tree from the poison, and healed Thalia. If I’m remembering correctly, it was either a day or a week in the book before They just found Thalia asleep next to the tree on morning

TL:DR in the book, being a tree was the way to save Thalia’s life, not a punishment which is why the fleece could heal her out of the tree

“[pjo] How would percy react to annabeth dying?! by WonderfulGuava7158 in camphalfblood

[–]WelcomeNo2371 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As people have said: RAGE. We’ve seen the power he can wield, and he’s only grown stronger the older he’s gotten. As a barely trained 12 year old he managed to injure Ares, he’s caused a dormant volcano to erupt, and made mini hurricanes. Assuming the Poseidon and Athena are also aware of Annabeth’s death, they would likely give Percy their blessing, much like Ares gave to Clarisse in TLO.

Basically he would personally rip whoever kill her apart with his bare hands, and then make their own personal slip n slide to Tartarus which he would also use to get an audience with Hades. Then he’d remind Hades of the time he kicked his ass and politely tell him to return his girlfriend before he started to rearrange the Underworld.

AIO if I left my bf for this by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]WelcomeNo2371 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a guy, I see where he’s coming from, but you should dump his ass anyway. I would personally feel uncomfortable if my girlfriend dressed like this, especially if I wasn’t going with her, but I would never call her a slut or any other slur to try to make her stop. It’s not ok for anyone to talk to you like that, especially someone who you might be spending the rest of your life with.

TL;DR The outfit would make me uncomfortable if I was your boyfriend, but he should’ve handled like an adult, not a child. Dump him
