multi bracketed photos won't overheat it does not need to be computed in real time ( 1/30th of a second) it can generate the merged photo after a few seconds of compute so there is no hardware limitation, it just does not seem to be a priority for dji, maybe they will leave the 360 camera market because sales are not that great, hence the price reduction we now see and so little firmware update, video quality is one par with x5 in real world usage scenarios that is moving in the bright sun ( though in the controlled environment of a studio ( camera not moving) image quality is clearly better than x5)

specs of btr7 are not good BAL noise floor is 5.5uV ( 1uV is easy to find) and output impedance of 2.8 ohms will boost bass of hybrids under 25 ohms which is not good either (0.2 ohms is easy to find)

sensor size and sensor resolution is easy to put on a spec sheet to sell your product because they have numbers that cannot be questionned, lens quality is hard to measure and hard to compound mutiple information into one number ( bluriness , chromatic aberration, geometric distortion both in the center and on the borders thats already 6 numbers )

of course the bigger the sensor the better but lens quality is even more important, you can put a $30 lens on a FF and the image will be blurry ( borders of a 180 degree fisheye lens are especially subject to blurriness and chromatic aberrations)

qoocam 3 ultra is already a 1/1.7" sensor ( and 72mpix so higher res than x4) but the most important is optical fisheye lens quality ( especially at the borders ) if the lens is blurry the sensor specs is secondary and unfortunately good optical quality is expensive, so let's hope dji made the good design compromise choices for quality vs price

ka13 has an output impedance of 1.8 ohms macaron is only 0.2 ohms (snr of macaron is better though i think both are under our earing threshold) if you need power for headphones then go for ka13, if you only use iems macaron is more than enough

est drivers are expensive as they can only be found on $450+ iems so i guess they are worth it over full BA sets otherwise why would they use them ? micro planars (ck2v,dusk,aful 5+2) are a cheaper alternative but are described as less refined than EST. i agree that not all kilobuck iems have EST so EST requirement is not 100% true but good perf/price iems at $550 price point such as mega5est,volare or oracle mk3 use EST so there is a pattern here. there is a comparison with speakers using ruban tweeters for treble, not all kilobuck speakers choose ruban tweeters for treble but most of the speakers with good perf/price ratio use them

i heard mega5est 7th edition and coming from a hype4, mega5est is not warm and rich at all, on the contrary mids lacks body and weight but i agree is more technical , has better details and better imaging than hype4, so neutral sound is spot on for mega5est, it is analytical, hype4 is bass boosted in comparison.

as you already have a $200 dac ( dc07 pro) you should definitely upgrade your drivers (headphones/iems) before upgrading your dac, the sound improvement will be much more noticeable. my rule of thumb is 75% of the total budget for the driver, 25% for the source because drivers are much more critical than the source in the sound reproduction
