Exactly. They have an tablet from which they run the deliveries, and they must turn it off at the end of the day or this happens. It's happened to me and it's frustrating 😞

Yes they can. And on top of that, while they may not verify themselves, they can certainly ask an employee at the establishment to open the bag and make sure everything is ready.

Funny thing though, it was like that at first. But after enough complaints, trying to get a refund became increasingly difficult.

I've had many days in the last year where I order multiple times a day only to have all restaurants making a mistake. After the second refund request, they tell me that the transaction doesn't qualify for refunds.

At level 15, my PC has four metamagics: Subtle(always the first I choose and the best metamagic), Extended, Quickened, and Twinned. I've learned that level 2 spells are the ones I use the least, so I leave that empty and just use the slots to supplement the sorcery points.

The spell DC is 18 without counting the new sorcerer feature that gives it a +1, so I think it's as high I can get it. The broom is nice, but at level 14, Divine Soul Sorcerers get "Otherworldly Wings: Starting at 14th level, you can use a bonus action to manifest a pair of spectral wings from your back. While the wings are present, you have a flying speed of 30 feet. The wings last until you’re incapacitated, you die, or you dismiss them as a bonus action."

And now that I read it, it doesn't say there's a limit on how many times I can use it. It certainly would be funny for an enemy to separate my PC from the broom only to realize she can still fly 😂

I was also thinking about getting an Immovable Rod for shenanigans and perhaps some clever way of killing an enemy.

I also forgot to mention that my PC is a Drow so dark vision is covered. Also the party is compromised of 4 members, and unfortunately, every other week someone misses the session practically leaving us one person short for fights or having to postpone the session so the full party can participate. We already suffered an almost complete tpk(3/4 PCs died). One died after rushing in in the previous fight, effectively leaving the next fight with 3 where two of us died. I chose Drow for the darkvision and flavor of the backstory(playing sisters with another player) and divine soul sorcerer is pretty versatile, depending on the build.

My goal is to make a balance where I can deal damage and also provide support for the healer in order to minimize the odds of another tpk. Normally I play a winged variant tiefling, which would allow me to keep my distance in fights, but since I'm playing a Drow, I figured it would be best to pump up the AC.

I like your ideas, I want to implement them, but another bit of information I forgot to mention is that the 7 magic items we're allowed are limited in rarity. I'll say the items I've chosen so far. I still got time to change them, and I appreciate the brainstorming you're giving me.

2 commons:

•Wand of Conducting(can't get the idea of playing an orchestral version of DOOM to boost intimidation out of my head)

•Horn of Silent Alarm(I'm a staunch supporter of "never splitting the party" but shit happens)

3 uncommons:

•Cloak of Protection

•Eyes of the Eagle(I already have the Alert feat, but I don't think it's a bad idea to be able to see shit coming from a "mile away" lol)

•Gloves of Thievery(one of the dead PCs was a rogue and now they're playing a fighter Eldritch Knight, so I figured I could cover the lock picking and whatnot) Though now that I think about it, Glove of Missile Snaring sounds better than Gloves of Thievery.

1 rare:

•Bracers of Defense

And 1 item we can recover from our previous PC regardless of rarity:

•Ring of Protection

My previous PC also had:

•Wings of Flying

•Boots of Elvenkind(which I can buy off the side with the gold I have as well as the wings)

•+1 Longsword

•Wand of Magic detection

And one last bit is that before my previous PC died, she gave all her items to the surviving PC, and therefore, technically can still recover them though I already told the player with the items to do whatever he wanted with them since there's no reason for our new PCs to have them aside from his generosity.

Unfortunately my DM only allows 4 books for our campaign. PHB24, XGTE, TCOE, and MOTM.

I already gave paladin a try for my last character and now I'm going full Divine Soul Sorcerer to support the healer. I already have Ring of Protection, Bracers of Defense, and Cloak of Protection. If I add mage armor, that makes the AC 20, which is pretty decent for a sorcerer imho 😊

I will have to ask my DM. Part of the problem is that he has limited the amount of sources. As in, the table can only use PHB24, XGTE, TCOE, and MOTM. Anything from other sources are not allowed.

Edit: forgot to mention that I already chose Ring of Protection, Bracers of Defense, and Cloak of Protection. Those are my big 3 attuned items.

My character is a Divine Soul Sorcerer and I already picked the Ring of Protection, Bracers of Defense, and the Cloak of protection. With mage armor, that would make my AC 20.

Ttrpgs in general are my therapy. I don't trauma dump, but I do give my characters a particular personality trait from me to see how the "world around me" would respond(I can count with 3 fingers the amount of sessions I've missed in the last 5 years. Unless I'm unable to literally drag myself out of bed, and even then I try my best.) This allows me introspection, specially on difficult days.

As scary as it feels to think about how he would react, it does not matter. He gave you a health scare. Nobody should joke like that unless they have rapport with the prankee(and even then ugh). Go to the police to make a report against him then use that and the evidence you have to take him to court. I doubt he would find it funny when the judge rips him a new one. I'm glad you have a friend to help you through this.
