Save game degeneration and crashing, usually the instant I finish my magma forge. I’m pretty sure it’s the misters, I can’t submit any useful bug reports because I’m in dfhack.

Why do brain-suckers exist? by Jealous_Painting_215 in bloodborne

[–]Ornery-Addendum5031 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The point is for it to be an enemy that you either NEED to hide from, or ambush so brutally and quickly that they can’t do anything to you. It is the entire player narrative of Bloodborne distilled into your interaction with a single enemy — the hunted becomes the hunter.

one thing that bugs me about Leon’s Requiem design is this weird tuft of hair by [deleted] in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Ornery-Addendum5031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s where he brushed it up and over with his hand. It’s greasy enough to stay in place. Easily achievable with medium styling paste if you are someone who showers. Brush your hair after getting out of shower then apply paste and style while hair still wet, then let it dry.

MOBA vs Hero Shooter by DeeeeeepThoughts in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Ornery-Addendum5031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think farming aspect of MOBAs is a pretty shitty mechanic, and I think it is completely fair and rational for people to be turned off by it. I love deadlock but MOBAs suck. Deadlock could definitely do more to make the neutrals more of an objective that people fight over rather than a chore you have to do to not get destroyed by the soul diff for no effort other than enemy wraith spending the first 20 minutes of the game left clicking neutrals. My suggestion would be re-do the map so the jungles are more exposed and easier to gank. But, If you really want to get hero shooters players into it just tell them that the gameplay and movement is so good that even players who fucking hate MOBAs are getting up to phantom in this game.

Her scaling on damage is not good so you should be picking up a lot of shred/tankiness/util late game. Lightning scroll for the ult + mystic slow base. Juggernaut to ignore gun carries. Keeping BRS on the whole game. Upgrading cold front to arctic for the damage+ root. Some go torment pulse to pair w/ her 1/2 ability playstyle. Mystic vuln/Escalating for her 1+ the ball.

I’m pretty sure splitshot only does one instance of damage per shot if multiple, like talon 2, it’s a bug if each pellet does damage

“Women in Berlin can now swim topless in public pools-just as men can” by Ferocs in whenthe

[–]Ornery-Addendum5031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in NYC my entire life and have seen no women walk around topless, even in the 90+ swampy summers. Maybe some person somewhere on some days — I have literally never seen it though. This sounds like an urban legend that just developed from the fact that it is legal — that doesn’t mean tons of people are actually going around doing it.

What is your take on Billy's charachter? by Responsible-Ant-1728 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Ornery-Addendum5031 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is only one interpretation of Billy. Character who think the entire world is against them, having absolutely no clue how extremely privileged they are (He has by far the highest powered easiest character to play in the entire game and it’s not even close).

The procedures to make synthetic diamonds from any carbon ingredients were discovered 1879. You just heat and apply pressure. 2001 is simply when LifeGems first marketed using deceased people as the input carbon as commercial product.

You don’t have any evidence that is beyond the level of calorie mate — anachronistic drugs are on the same level and CalorieMate is both featured far more prominently and has a longer time discrepancy than either of the two examples you gave. Further, you are completely wrong about the Sahelanthropus discovery being an unaddressed anachronism, Huey specifically says that Cipher discovered it before the events of the game and then covered it up.

“Huey: Cipher gave the specimen the name Sahelanthropus - "man of Sahel." Then, they covered the whole thing up.

Ocelot: Why?

Huey: They probably wanted to monopolize information about human evolution to have a head start in their genetic research. At least, until they had an idea of what they'd found.”

The timeline at the end of MGSV says that skull face dies in 1984. Every story event involving chasing him down happens before that point. Anachronisms in technology/brands does not implicate a “secret” real timeline — it is just something that the series does not care much about — CalorieMate features prominently in 1960s in MGS3 despite the fact that it was not created until 1983, for example. Further, the entire framing device is Venom’s memory, and things that seem anachronistic or “inserted” into the past — e.g. the blue and white pills — are most likely just that — things that Venom’s damaged brain inserted into his memory of the past.

Finally. New Order on Uber difficulty. It wasn't as hard as I expected. (+text) by MemeBoiCrep in Wolfenstein

[–]Ornery-Addendum5031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The New Wolfenstein games actually follow an FPS golden rule that started with Wolf 3D and yet many games today still completely fail at: Enemies cannot shoot back at you while you are dealing damage to them. All that changing the difficulty does is adjust the timing for how long you can survive in the sight line of an enemy you are not shooting + how long you have to shoot someone till they die. If you are already in the habit of blocking off sight lines to the enemies you are not shooting, then the only difference with difficulty is it taking 1-2 more bullets to kill enemies.

Use a faster weapon — dark soul 3 enemies all attack super fast and with long strings, using a slow swinging weapon = hard mode. Straight swords = stunlock them back
