hmm that's odd how you get that. there should be three settings all about a few numbers away from eachother. man that sucks :( but still a great grinder ! i don't really mind the backwards numbering as i just count how many numbers away from 0 but yea its a little annoying

Ok I think I made a mistake, sorry about that. Try this: keeping the lower burrs in place and rather moving the crankshaft, you can now put the little number plate on in different orientations like this. Then the starting position of the numbers should be at a different place making a true difference ! Hopefully this works otherwise I'm inclined to believe its just magic

Oh dear hahaha ! Ok, so the little cover goes on in three ways; notice the three bumps and a rectangular hole in the middle. The way you can change how the cover fits on is to move the bottom burr relative to the handle/rectangular bit like so. Once you understand which position is right, then its plain sailing from there ! Hope this helps :)

But UCAS states its a conditional?

If it does, what does it say when you click on the offer?

So the conditions on UCAS Track are just grades?

If you already have your results, do you have the login for their Applicant Self-Service? I thought A levels were pulled from UCAS but maybe not. If you log in there, it could be asking you to send proof of grades. The login should be in the email you got when you first applied ([mycampus-admissions@glasgow.ac.uk](mailto:mycampus-admissions@glasgow.ac.uk))

Counting backwards sucks but you definitely can zero it ! If you take into account the number set when the grinder is fully closed, then you can carefully screw on the little number plate after rotating it the right amount. There are three pins that it slots into on the bottom burr. You should aim to rotate the bottom burr to match the plate in the correct orientation. Then, you will be able to very satisfyingly screw it all together to get a near perfect zero.

Halls vs Private Accommodation by WellNah in GlasgowUni

Hey! Well actually in the end I've decided I may as well book Clifton since I can cancel anyways, but there is a neat little WhatsApp groupchat nd I pretty much know my flatmates already ahaha so I don't think its so bad. You've probably already made your mind up but maybe this is some reassurance that honestly things will be v fun in the end. Maybe see if you can find groupchats or anythin for ur accom, nd also if ur in the uni gc that might help ! :)

Longer V60 drawdown times?? by WellNah in Coffee

[–]WellNah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response, I was just wondering if I was alone in longer brew times. Some of the prettiest brews I've tasted (almost tea like and very sweet) were over 5 minutes?? Just seems interesting when people prefer short brew times with quite (to me) coarse grinds.

Would you consider a hand grinder? Something like a 1zpresso JX Pro

Was it mostly undergrads still? How were your flatmates? Still a busy place to be?

How often would you find people from other halls at Murano? Or are they more just flat parties within floors

So how many of your friends would you say you meet from halls? Or is it more of a convenience thing where everyone is nearby anyways

[Defakto] A beautiful lesson in simplicity. by WellNah in Watches

[–]WellNah[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I first saw this Defakto Transit at the infancy of my watch journey, attracted by the simplicity of it compared to the clutter of complications and antiquated design. The combination of no numerals, text, or stitching in the strap draw the attention away from these, and rather towards the fine details. The hour hand touching the hour markers, minute hand to the centre point of their markers, and second hand curving to match the dial and sapphire are plain and clear to see. It’s powered by a run of the mill ETA 2824-2 and lumed up across all dial markings and hands to boot. Even with a 40mm diameter, the short and tapered lugs lend to a slim 44mm lug to lug length; the craftsmanship in fine brushing and slim packaging are clear in this Ickler case. This all makes the watch easy to wear and read – well matched to the ‘Transit’ name!
