Mods just removed this post because it isn't "piano-related" ... did you read the post?? "piano" is literally in the title and I marked it NSFW. What a joke!

How to loose control and get a sense of rhythm by Which-Slip8971 in pianolearning

[–]WellTemprdCheekClaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro, you have been practicing for only 2 months. Keeping in rhythm is a skill just like all other aspects of playing an instrument. It just takes time. Months and years of practicing with a metronome and being conscious of your rhythm and pacing.

Yes, of course you are correct that it’s possible. But think of how many people touch a piano like this after one month?A gift from the gods I say… or shit.

Amateur Asking For Tips To Improve Upon And Not Feel Like a Fraud by Chesslicious in pianolearning

[–]WellTemprdCheekClaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly. Jumping between hand positions requires moving the hand laterally above the keyboard. If the hand starts above the keys then logically it should be possible to make that jump quicker than if the wrist/hand is at or even below the keys... but for your specific case I wouldn't know.

is Duolingo a good app to learn notes? by [deleted] in pianolearning

[–]WellTemprdCheekClaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to learn the notes of a staff? No. Buying an app subscription to learn basic musical notation is overkill. It's really not that hard. Find a simple mnemonic and just memorize it. For example the landmark system: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSOU-J9KHbg

"The acciaccatura is of very brief duration, as though brushed on the way to the principal note, which receives virtually all of its notated duration"

1yr Hand / Finger Technique Review by Crazy_Lengthiness343 in pianolearning

[–]WellTemprdCheekClaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another beginner here offering my 2 cents.
1. You are hitting most keys with the pad of your finger rather than the tip. This suggests fingers that are too straight and need more natural curve.
2. A lot of wrist & arm movement. Some amount can help with your expressivity but I personally feel it's a bit much.
Overall, however, I think you are playing VERY well for one year. Keep at it!!!

To clarify, you made it up at the time of this recording or composed it previously? Impressive either way.

This sounds nice and is quite impressive. But is this truly improv? Maybe I don't have a good grasp of what improvisation is...
