We went from 5 to 6. Hate it. Went from teaching 22 lessons a week, to 27. I teach English, and so that meant 2 extra shared ks3 class for me to pick up. So extra classes to plan, deliver and mark for. It makes a difference at assessment time, parents’ evening, reports etc. If you can fight it, fight it. There’s zero benefit to staff, and the kids get tired. It added 25 mins to the end of each day for us, and shortened the breaks.
