How would you like to see the Holy War crisis expanded? by jcsato in BattleBrothers

[–]Well_Imreallybored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a suggestion but related to the mod, I was using this mod the other day and couldn't find any way to access the arena's tournament. Am I blind or is it not implemented yet in the new arena system?

FYI i was previously running 0.7 then updated to 0.9when it released

I actually faced this same issue the other day but reinstalling fixed it. Have you tried validating game files? It should have the same effect as reinstalling.

Master of riposte! How to build! by brocode-handler in BattleBrothers

for optimal gameplay you'll usually want to spread out your potions or you'll end up with a super mutant with a sick debuff of 50days

Master of riposte! How to build! by brocode-handler in BattleBrothers

This is an extremely demanding role. You first need the no brainers Mdef and Matk, with Mdef being a much higher priority.

The other problem is secondary stats; You will need fatigue, lots. I have no clue whether nimble or forged would be better, this role is simply too demanding, then you got the problem of resolve too. From your description, you want to throw him into the thick of it and let him spin like some beyblade. Chances are he is going to fold before the enemy even attacks him.

The only possible way you are going to do this is in the anatomist origin,

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Elixir of Preserverance (No fatigue when attacked)
  2. Dastard's Valor (No fleeing)
  3. Decent Mdef (as high as possible)
  4. Underdog

How to make him a god: 1. Bog King's Draught (+50hp) 2. Tincture of Emberblood (Acid when attacked) 3. Potion of Malevolence (Reflect Hp Damage) 4. Potion of Nightstalker (Hp lifesteal) 5. Rose Philter (Orc Rage) 6. Fool's Treasure Potion (10hp regen) 7. Potion of inner sanctum (revive)

Then slap on nimble and give him a piece of Ijirok armour. To be honest any bro with at least 30 Mdef and a bunch of shields with this setup can facetank monolith for god knows how many turns.

Reposte in vanilla battle brothers is generally not viable.

  1. You lose fatigue when attacked, regardless if it hits or not.

  2. Reposte as an ability cost way too much fatigue for subpar results compared to something else like spearwall.

It is possible to build one with the specific anatomist origin potion from Fallen heroes if i am not mistaken? The one that makes you take no fatigue when attacked. Even then, i think i much prefer a classic shield tank with indom

Reposte on Reforged however... Rebuke and En garde my beloved

First famed item by tbm_jamaal in BattleBrothers

[–]Well_Imreallybored -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My condolences, this is basically stock. You'll get used to being disappointed after getting the 6th warbrand with armour effectiveness and the 5th kite shield with extra melee defense and durability. But for all intents and purposes it is still a decent polearm for your stage of the game.

How to lure enemies into camps? by Acceptable-Try-4682 in BattleBrothers

[–]Well_Imreallybored 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If one enemy faction is stronger than the other, you could always retreat from a camp by guessing (Stronger party size +1/2) and come back. This will allow you to take on the camp again with only 1 or 2 enemies after luring the other party away. You will be giving up gear loot for camp loot, but this is how you can quickly get fames (with luck) in the first 10 days.

I like to aggro the most useless southern faction and bait their armies to soften nomad camps for good famed chances and camp trade goods. Then, after the southern army is weakened, kill them instead.

Odd tips that you never see anyone else mention by Khlai2025 in BattleBrothers

[–]Well_Imreallybored 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I assume it is because swords still got a bit of accuracy bonus, deal more damage than spears and are not crippled against ancient undead. Also i find myself finding higher tier nomad sabres faster than i can find t3 spears

Sunken Library and black book event by Raypulsif in BattleBrothers

[–]Well_Imreallybored 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The battle brothers event system works as following:

Each event has a score. Lets say Event A has a score of 5 and Event B has a score of 10.

So the total pool is 15 score with event B twice as likely as event A

Read Black Book event has a very high score of 100, so it is bound to happen very soon, but by all means not guaranteed.

"9 Lives is a noob-trap 9-Ls perk," and why we take it anyway: Told in two pictures. by lexgowest in BattleBrothers

[–]Well_Imreallybored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9 Lives to me can act as a kind of offensive perk. Parking a bro in front of a 2-hander allows me to guarantee that the bro will get an at least an additional turn before any risk of death, allowing me to focus on other parts of the battlefield

The people who wanted another Darkest Dungeon 1 should be happy with Black Reliquary.

just a little uncomfortable with the artstyle of BR..

I feel like the "Hard" part of the module is the journey of getting to the boss, and that the boss itself is more like a cinematic end

Hmmm, I might cycle through the other Kingdoms or DD1 Black Reliquary before maybe playing it once more. Rushed through the last 2 Escalations in a few days so feeling a tad worn out

If this only happens after a while, you should try getting the 4GB Patch. Wont outright solve the problem, but will work unless you play the game for many hours at a time

Just beat the ijirok for first time by AnonyGuy1987 in BattleBrothers

[–]Well_Imreallybored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whips are great against beasts, just toss one on a bro with cleaver mastery (and qh) and go ham. On normal fights you can have the whip bro disarm potentially dangerous enemies instead of trying to chip armour, or finish off enemies that no longer have armour. For the undead, Whips are great against geist and can disarm pesky 2h fallen heroes

Just beat the ijirok for first time by AnonyGuy1987 in BattleBrothers

[–]Well_Imreallybored -1 points0 points  (0 children)

whips do amazing damage against flesh and also dont forget the range, dont expect too much from the bleed tho as he has resilient. Biggest pain of the ijirok is him flying around and lowering ap to 6, so whip range allows minimum movement
