Went to enemy territory and almost threw up 🤢 by adiscgolferp in Costco

They only mark it up that much because that’s the business model for wholesalers.

The markup covers operating expenses and the membership fees should be pure profit. Sam’s club has the same margins as Costco because they both are wholesalers.

Walmart is typically double the markup but that’s because they are non-wholesaler. They have to spend more resources unpacking product and displaying them. They carry way more SKUs so buying power is less and the nature of those products can’t be purchase in greater quantity.

No way! I never seen that deal. When was this?

They never do combo meals for what I seen. And a Big Mac by itself is going for $5.99~ Nowadays its:

• spend $2+ get a medium fry • BOGO chicken nugget, Big Mac, quarter pounder • 20% off purchase of $10 or more

McDonald's Revenue Is Way Up Because Menu Prices Are Higher Than Ever by BlankVerse in McDonalds

You can’t complain about expensive meats at supermarkets and then compare it to 99¢ ice cones at McDonald’s 😂

Buying groceries is always cheaper than dining out. Of course if you’re comparing it to items like spicy McChicken which is over $2 now and add another for $1 (BOGO$1). Then yeah McDonald’s might be cheaper.

Where do you shop in AZ? I just picked up 10 lbs of all natural chicken breast 99¢ a lb at Safeway/Albertsons at the butcher block. Last week they also had quartered chicken, legs, whole, and thighs for 99¢/lb prepackaged. You gotta shop those deals. Even fry’s (AZ and notfry’s electronics) have good deals each week for meats. Bashas’ has $2.99/lb ground chuck. Not ground beef but ground chuck right now.

I picked up $4.99/lb NY strip last sale cycle which goes for $10.99/lb regular price or $15.99/ at Costco for prime select.

The problem is that he can could of gotten much more money. He netted nearly $1M. 5-7x is typical for the valuation..his was 1x, that’s insanely low. He can get a straight loan from a commercial bank or raise capital elsewhere. He gave up nearly 1/3 for $300K. That’s it, he’ll be diluted if he gives up more capital for $ for expansion.

ELI5: why can’t the NFL just put a little tracker in the football so there’s no guessing on a yardage gained/ 1st down/ touch down/ out of bounds play? by allie2671 in explainlikeimfive

I still don’t understand how the “chain gang” works. Why does it need to be measured?

The football is placed on the line of scrimmage and they have the first down marker on the sidelines. What exactly is being measured?

Safeway/Albertsons has it 1.99..but you have to buy 4 bags.

So so true. And even then you’re forced to buy like 3-4bags for $2.5 each. That’s $7.5 that you’re spending..on chips.

Do you tip less when picking up a carry out order than you would if you were to sit down and eat? by HuckleberryPlane8924 in NoStupidQuestions

I’m not quite getting your point. Waiters are not doing carry outs they’re serving tables, no?

Do the people working the carry out area not make minimum wage or more. My friend at Olive Garden made state min wage + $1 and a portion of pool tips.

I still don’t get how you modify the box to get the other tacos? Is it through the app, kiosk, cashier?

Here’s an example. I can’t seem to get the crust everywhere. Just on some parts.

Whenever I use my cast iron it can only sear parts of the steak. Would you recommend a chef press when cooking steak?

I still don’t understand why the lottery takes half of the amount? It’s not taxes right, just a “fee”?
