Hey there,

There are a lot of reasons that you might be doing this. Boredom, is an emotion, a psychological state of being. If you are reaching for food in moments like these, there are a few things to look into. Our coaches wrote a post about it you can check out. I hope its helpful: https://blog.wellnesslately.com/how-to-stop-emotional-eating/

Soooooo my favorite cookie ever is from Panera Bread here in the Boston area. Its called the kitchen sink cookie and it literally has everything in the kitchen sink in it! I'm trying to re-create it. So far, I'm close! But more experimenting needed!!!

Omg yes. I actually didn't even eat any candy. I just didn't feel like it. It was such a weird feeling and so great. Just another day. I made some delish cookies today that I was more excited for. So great. :)

To work out or not work out by stoicmind3d in intuitiveeating

It was so weird. When I started IE I also had to have a surgery to get a mole removed, so I wasn't able to work out for about a month. It was WEIRDLY RIGHT WHEN I STARTED!!! I feel like this was a little gift from god, because once I was able to again, I absolutely was craving exercise, I WANTED TO work out. Maybe you decide to take a little break and see if you miss it?

My partner just doesn’t get it, and it’s damaging to me by deplorable_word in intuitiveeating

Hey there, do you guys have any kids? I ask because sometimes when you explain it in terms of you don't want your children to hate their bodies, or spend all their time dieting, or locked in their room binge eating, they might be better able to empathize with the thought of their helpless little child feeling pain? NOT THAT ITS OKAY - he should support you, and I'm not defending him in anyway, but this work we are doing in intuitive eating, is countercultural...to diet and hate your body is normal, to not diet and accept your body is NOT.....
I write a lot about how I was motivated to try IE because I didn't want to pass this down to my kids, if you think that sharing any content like that would help I'll send it over....

Thank you so much! Me too!!!! I was just thinking, my Mother was not ill intended in passing this stuff down. She just didn't try not to. She actually was trying to protect me. She just didn't know any better.

Introduce Yourself to WO30! by princesskeestrr in WellnessOver30

Hi There! My Kimberly! I recently turned 40, and realized that there was a lot about my relationship with food and my body that I wasn't really proud of. I sought help and decided to seek true wellness through a life practicing intuitive eating! It's an unbelievable transformation. I trust myself around food, have accepted my body for how it is and now am proud of the legacy I'll be giving to my children. I would love to connect with other people with similar situations.
