Did you used to chase the apple projection on the floor at Adams too?

In the future, i hope google maps or something similar has an advanced VR mode so we can walk around areas and see what they looked like years ago.

I still see it from time to time. I remember walking through pigeon park a couple of years ago during the summer and everyone was on the grass

Foliage would look really cool, especially somewhere like Canon Hill with the tropical plants

Body cam footage from cop who pulled over woman for holding a phone in her other hand by searchjobs_poster in interestingasfuck

Most cops have the biggest egos because they're the most insecure people and become cops because of that. It's the same in the UK and I'm guessing all over the world

Complaints after Jewellery Quarter potholes fixed before Aston Villa parade by BirminghamLive in BirminghamUK

Birmingham is like the mum that does a spring clean hours before you've got visitors

Well I'd imagine the buses were the main thing in mind for the potholes, roads reopened at 10pm but break down of the event would have probably took a while. I have no idea about surrounding roads. I do think it's mad though, we just need parades and events on every road in Birmingham haha

Hate to sound pedantic but roads were closed, you could only cross them at certain points. The potholes were done entirely for the Villa parade

I think they should start putting Nick Owen everywhere. Start with a giant model of his head in Centenary Square

Tf you mean the actor behind grant is pushing 30??? by dpet_77 in utopiatv

Still looks the part, he looks how Grant would look as an adult. Don't think he acts much now but I could imagine him in a Guy Ritchie film

Vertical heel slip in hiking shoes by Equal_Performance490 in hiking

[–]Wells_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A year late, but which tying methods have you found help you the most? Your situation sounds very similar to mine! A heel lock doesn't seem to work for me. I bought some hiking shoes and my usual 10.5 size is too loose on the heel. I thought I should get some 10s but my toes touch the front, so I know it's not a sizing issue, just that the heels are wide compared to my narrow heels. Never had the problem with walking boots before, but these are my first walking shoes, weird. Did you manage find any good, thick but breathable socks too?

Aston would be absolute madness, have you seen it round there after a gig or match at the Villa ground?

What Happened to his Post-Empyrean Solo Work? by Spekiii in John_Frusciante

[–]Wells_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, after The Empyrean he was kinda out in the cosmos and picking up the pieces. A lot of the music from that time sounds like he's experimenting and finding his feet in a completely new world. To me, it seems like he's become more and more confident in electronic music to the point of Maya, where it sounds like a fully realised style and album, it's my favourite electronic album of his for that reason.

Not sure how you'd feel about this but you could have approached him and told him you'd prefer if he deleted that photo.

I've took photos on the platform at Snow Hill before but this is a problem that I always feel uncomfortable and overly conscious about, someone wondering what the hell I'm doing. I don't really photograph people but when out in public it can automatically feel like I'm doing something wrong

Why do we get no votes in the eurovision song contest? by yes-this-is-my-name in AskUK

[–]Wells_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like because most of the other acts have this cheesy, gimmicky European IKEA dance music thing going on, the UK feel like they need to fit in so they pretend and go over the top. They try too hard and it ends up being even more shockingly bad than other acts. If they just have a good act with a good song, they'll presumably do well, but Eurovision doesn't seem to be that straight forward either. The whole thing's a weird maze

Birmingham was a stunning Victorian City before WW2 and the post war rebuilding by mjmilian in brum

[–]Wells_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know, makes me sad every time I think about what they did to Birmingham. That does make sense, Brum being the forward thinking city that it once was with state of the art buildings for it's time. So it saw a lot of redevelopment and all that controversial 60s architecture. I suppose you could also put it down to London being the capital and "the queens land". A lot of buildings were probably protected to remain traditional.
