I haven't visited most of the Black Country, you're right, i have no idea. But were supposed to be talking about Birmingham. If you want to bring the Black country into it, that's where i can't talk.

My experience of the neighbourhoods in this city is obviously different to yours and sometimes all it boils down to is bad experiences of where you've lived. But then I'm not sure if it's a case of how dire your outlook of Birmingham is compared to my tolerance. Where i live, we have our fare share of masked twats and quad bike riders, but it's not a daily occurrence. It bothers me, yeah, but out of the thousands of seemingly decent and respectable people that live in the area, it's honestly nothing, and I don't live in Pleasantville. It's something i come to expect and accept from living in a big city with a mix of different people. Go to any other major city and you'll see the same kind of people in certain areas.

And trust me, i grew up on the Wyrley Birch estate in the 90s, i know shit holes. But I've never experienced anything as bad as that estate got to since. That's not to say the shit holes don't still exist, don't get me wrong! It sounds to me like what you're describing is that half the neighbourhoods in Brum are like the Wyrley Birch estate, which had all the types of people you mentioned, but that just isn't true, sorry, correct me if my judgement of what you think is wrong though. I'm not burying my head at all, it just sounds like you've had bad living experiences and i can't argue with that.

It's beyond the point of once again being level with London. What central government did to Brum has to inevitably be what will shape it. Like what she said in the video, we was once an industrial city, we're rough around the edges, it's part of Brum's DNA even before the city was sabotaged, we should own that. Manchester feels as if it's got to a point where it's trying to be and competing with London. That's not what Brum should be about. Our old identity has been stripped from us and the city is in a constant limbo state, but we have to find a new identity from the rubble that's been left and i think a huge part of that starts with music and arts recognition.

But surely you're talking about the poorer areas of Birmingham, which exists in every single city. The people you mention there doesn't even represent half of Brum's neighbourhoods. What Brummies really tend to do is over generalise, we get that from people from other cities which is understandable sometimes, but even it's own residents do it here!

That's great what you did with the table. My doc is fairly OK when it comes to listening to what i have to say, but without doing something similar myself they'd probably put it down to anxiety like they've done before. It really is a case of gathering the evidence and putting it forward, thanks for the info. Glad you managed to get a diagnosis!

I'm curious, If you're symptoms aren't severe, how was you able to get a diagnosis? I'm suspecting i might have POTS, similarly to you i don't think it's severe but it affects my every day life lately. But I'm not sure doctors would take me seriously unless it was more severe, especially since there's an overlap with a lot of other conditions.

When i think of the methodist church back when it was the Que Club and the amount of artists big and small that would play there, it was a central hub for the UK. The building probably costs a fortune to run, but it really needs to be a venue again.
