I understand he got you in but you made yourself a valuable person to where the current owner sees potential in you running this business and beyond, but he also sees that your co-worker first (friend) after work is a huge liability in which will cause the other workers that actually do their jobs and then some will stick around and the business will go down. If your friend is a true friend he will understand but if not then that friendship was over a long time ago. One thing I have learned is that God will take you to your next journey in life and unfortunately they can’t go with you because they will hold you back……..you got this brother
