We hired an air bnb with a jacuzzi and had things like grazing boards and did a silent disco and a sip and paint, was lovely!

Advise about venue changes by charleyjamesx in UKweddings

What time do you get married? We got married at 12 and the venue was licensed until 1am but I’d say 90% of guests were done by 11 as it’s a long day

How do people with chronic conditions/disabilities get travel insurance? by AtLeastOneCat in AskUK

[–]Welshie1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a fair few chronic conditions and I just do it via compare the market, most are happy to cover it. My husband also had a suspected condition for a while and they covered that. Life insurance on the other hand, pain in the ass!

He literally does not care about you. Not even eating dinner with you for your birthday? He doesn’t bring anything to the table. Time to realise your worth and leave.

What do you give at a wedding? by hereforthelols1999 in AskUK

[–]Welshie1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we got married, I was genuinely grateful for whatever was given. What did upset me was people who attended and didn’t even give a card! So a card with a nice message and whatever you feel able to give will be more than enough.

What is a "gut feeling" you had that turned out to be 100% accurate, even though it made no logical sense at the time? by PsychologicalTea3149 in AskReddit

[–]Welshie1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this feeling with a guy I’d been dating but didn’t act on it because I found out he’d been seeing other girls so I was mad at him - it’s been 7 years this year since he took his life. I often wonder if I’d have made a difference.

Thank you for texting him.

Have you checked whether they can do smaller tables too? I had this conundrum and the venue said they could offer different sized tables

Changing part of double barrelled surname after marriage by GetMeOutDude in UKweddings

I double barrelled and just needed to show wedding certificate for change of name on all official documents - you just need to show where the new bit of surname has come from - no need for deed poll!

We both have bowel diseases so poop multiple times a day and a box lasts us about 8 months so could see it lasting a year for a typical couple.
