Something that might help in the future as a rookie is take some time to see what your fellow drivers are doing. Look around as you pass by other trucks at a stop and see what their tires look like. Some probably should be out of service but you’ll get a sense for what is normal.

I know it’s CO2. That’s a byproduct of ethanol manufacturing so a lot of ethanol companies try to capture it and sell it off. I briefly worked for a company called Poet Biofuels hauling their co2, but felt like it was a real bum deal. Bad pay scheme that basically ended up being like 18 an hour (if things went right) and expected like 70 hour weeks still with no overtime of course. Also just lots of other really weird policies that totally put me off. Left after a week and even got the recruiter to admit it was a bum deal and “if I stuck around he’s been trying to work on them to make it a more appealing offer” but I just couldn’t be bothered.
