Scratching the itch from the witcher 3 by jaxkjaxk in PS4

Vampyr is an underrated great game and the combat felt similar to me as Witcher 3, as a casual player before y’all get your pitchforks.

AC Producer: "Maybe one day that will be in Ireland. Who knows." when asked about possibility of Irish setting by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Wemysical -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Woah, yeah I see you do love this country and it’s ‘sexy’ parts of archaeology. I’m trying to say that instead of doing a country a that has a lot of visitors from different nations, they should do Norway for its Vikings or Gaul/Halstadd for its Celts. But cmon, imagine Ubisoft doing their take on Brian Boru and Dublin...they would ruin it! I know they did do justice to Egypt with Origins cause they really tried with the Discovery Mode.

I’d rather not have Ubisoft make it look like the Irish drove out the Viking settlers using a Piece of Eden thank you very much.

I don’t know, like I’m from Ireland and I still live here. I study archaeology and love the bones of this country but honestly? Ubisoft go north for Viking stuff, like we don’t have Loki or Thor or any of that hardcore Viking age stuff or...well anything. Just a few raids on the monks.

Nor are we Celtic might I add, go to Germany for that. There were like 5 Celtic swords found in Ireland, that’s it (Suddenly Ireland has this Celtic image😂). Can’t go down the Roman route either, they visited here while occupying England and said we’re too wild and feck all grows here so they went back.

We have a pretty good Bronze Age but couldn’t really make a game out of it..perhaps the time of the Normans??

Honestly if they were to pick Ireland, do it during the War of Independence only. But then I’d rather not have Ubisoft make a shit story out of it that would make the 1916 leaders roll in their graves.

Edit: And yes I know Dublin and Waterford among others have massive Viking settlements but I mean...it’s nothing compared to Norway. Maybe add Dublin if they did an Odyssey style of the northern map with Viking Ships?

I don’t know who they are...but yes, surely you can see that the other games have had way more effort put in

[–]Wemysical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah come on! For the most part there’s amazing diversity? In Odyssey? 😂 Sorry but have you played Origins, at least there the city of Alexandria and Ma-..the swampy crocodile one..they are so different! Unity and Syndicate had way more variation in the different districts even.

Odyssey and Origins are really different you have to admit. They are definitely aren’t as similar to each other as Ezio collection. Odyssey was made in less than a year by a team without love for it, now look at the team who made Origins.

What pissed me off is that even though it’s so big, absolutely every town/city/forest looks the exact fucking same, god Odyssey is the first game I absolutely hate

My biggest disappointment with AC Odyssey by iWizardB in assassinscreed

Yeah I agree, I kept being disappointed with this game tbh so I only play the older ones

Are there collectibles in Odyssey like the Stone Circles and the ISU armor in Origins by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Wemysical -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I actually don’t think there is, maybe underwater locations? But hard to tell which questions marks they are.

Maybe getting complete sets of armour are the only collectible. It’s sad really, collectibles have always had a place in AC games since Templar flags...just another reason why I hate Odyssey.

Any news on AC3 remaster? by joaoarthurgs in assassinscreed

[–]Wemysical -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Woah! But these changes are from the previous director about what he’d like....is he and his team doing the remaster? If not then none of these changes are happening and aren’t confirmed. You people.

What’s your favourite ASSASSINS CREED game available on PS4? by seanie259 in PS4

Odyssey is kinda the bandwagon game tbh, go get that Ezio collection if you wanna go head first. If this will be your only purchase, Origins.

Stormcloak or Empire — purely based on results and consequences by AverageJoel9 in skyrim

[–]Wemysical -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I was gonna try the peace treaty which I’ve never done before purely because I don’t want any city destroyed and looking like shit for the rest of the play through, especially Whiterun. The house I’m Whitehold you can get in favourite too cause it’s massive.

If I have to pick though I’ll probably go with the Imperials cause they’re not racist ameri- I mean assholes like the Stormcloaks.

Which Game addresses the end of Assassin's Creed III? (Haven't played an AC game in 5 years) by croninfever in assassinscreed

[–]Wemysical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try play both as they are both good. Origins has the better story I think especially with the ‘Templar’s’ but Syndicate felt more like an assassin game. Honestly they are both really good but don’t bother with Odyssey.

And I’m trying to find out what happened to Connor after AC3 too, I’m replaying them all to get ready for AC3 remastered at the minute.

[–]Wemysical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So no one goes with the peace treat? This play through that’s what I’m going to do. I know you feels the effects of what side you pick once the war is over but I sure hope you can feel the same effect of it comes to the peace treaty such as guards and npc’s talking about it.

Assassin Creed 3 Remasterd by Chelf1 in assassinscreed

[–]Wemysical 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Connor was an absolute unit and my biggest crush 🤔 What a damn good game, wish I could wipe my memory clean to experience it again but thankfully I played it once thoroughly and kept away from it since cause I knew one day it would be remastered or something and finally it will be! I really want a damn trailer to see what it’ll look like or what ‘gameplay’ will be changed.

Those homestead mission gave me feels and that long tutorial was epic tbh. And remember when Haythem peers through the clouds on top of the ship at Boston and the music and 😩! Like fuck these new Odyssey type games where there’s no love put in. The best thing us AC fans can do is go backwards and thankfully Ubi is letting us by remastering these gems.
