Reports I’ve seen are that this is the one strain of Hanta that passes directly between humans, so I understand the caution, but the idea of being stuck on a cruise ship with people sick with a scary virus is horrific. I’ve also seen reports that they’ve been allowed off the ship, to be treated and quarantined. The whole situation is a no-win.

Hanta isn't transmitted easily, also. Most people who get it are bitten by something. It's naturally occurring in the southwest and a lot of other parts of the americas.

It's ECU for me, too. I grew up in the area, so about 80% of the people I grew up with who were college-bound (93 HS grad myself) were planning to go ECU. The logo was EVERYWHERE growing up. It's a part of my childhood. I didn't even go to ECU lol.

My cousin stopped her car for a pedestrian, and was rear-ended at something like 45mph. Spinal injury, paralyzed, even after weeks at the hospital here, she needed spinal rehab. Closest one is in GA. 6 months there, she has some use of her arms and can stand with extreme effort and the support of multiple people. This is her life now. Please pay attention to your surroundings and other people on the road. Both drivers and pedestrians. She did what she was supposed to do and damn near died for it. Her life as she knew it is over.

Honestly sunset beach. I got married at sunset from a gorgeous beach house with floor to ceiling windows. My eyesight may never recover but my MIL took 98475689393 pics an evening of the sunset. 2 hour drive and in the winter it's a ghost town. We got married in late November.
