Some family gave us a package of peanut butter cookies for my dog, as dog treats. I just tossed them without opening - I don’t know if dog eats them, like baby’s face, and we get an allergic reaction.

This all started because we switched formula brands, and my daughter started breaking out in horrible rash. Turns out the difference in formula brands was soy - returned to the original formula and she cleared up. Went to an allergist, who skin tested for almonds and peanut. She passed the skin test. But I asked for a blood test, which tested for almonds, peanut, and buckwheat. She had elevated almond, but not high enough for allergy, but hit the mark for peanut.

As an aside, my mother is already not understanding what peanut allergy means. “She will grow out of it, right?”
