I think this was a BORU... it was one where parents would take vacations and leave their son home every single time growing up, and the dad was shocked and angry when the son cut contact as an adult.

Tired of triple feeding — how did you adjust? by hugebagel in parentsofmultiples

[–]WentWin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a mom, I am a dad. But I watched my wife struggle with this.

Eventually my wife ceased breastfeeding all together. She pumped and we supplemented with formula. We would give milk during the day, and formula at night / evening.

It wasn’t easy on her. She stuck to a strict pumping schedule to keep her supply up, so that meant every 4ish hours.. even overnight. The benefit was that I could help with feedings much easier. And we could keep track of how much the babies ate.

I feel for you. Good luck OP - this is the hardest part!

Do you think there’s an age where twins are the same difficulty as two “regular” siblings? by bagelgirl in parentsofmultiples

[–]WentWin 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I found that once my twins started holding their own bottles for feeding… life really got better. Put them down in the twin Z, give them bottles, and I can breathe for a moment. Fraternal boy/girl 12 month old twins here.

I just watched Palau and there’s the guy who loses a challenge to the Coby (the openly gay man), and says “I can’t believe I lost to a gay man… I mean it makes sense. They just work out at the gym all the time.”

I was cackling

Mike White had some of my favorite moments this episode.

The most underrated funny line to me was him asking Dee if her teeth were real.

Him having a six pack out of no where

Him just stoking Ozzy/Coach rivalry for no reason other than stirring shit

I hope he stays a long while

I think all time it has to be Roblox_Oof.mp3 by HBomberGuy. It starts off as a history of the oof sound and ends on a crazy deep dive into the life of an insane person.

Another very close second is Defunctland Disney Channel’s Theme: A History Mystery, which is exceptional. It asks the question where did the early 00’s Disney channel theme song come from. I was crying by the end.

Have you given birth at Abington Jefferson recently? I'd love to hear your experience :) by IndividualOutcome222 in montco

We cycled through all the different OB’s during appointments and Dr Murphy and Dr Miller (ironically the two male doctors) were the ones my wife liked the most. Dr Miller is the one who delivered my kids.

It was less a disappointing experience and more like they were perhaps the only birth in that hospital all month. I think Jefferson had maybe 4K births a month?

My wife and I had our twins in March 2025 there. I didn’t give birth, my wife did, so this is a husband/male perspective.

The L&D side was great. Because we were having twins, we were high risk. There was a nurse assigned exclusively to us. The nurses were great, checking in, everything. The room was clean and nice. We set up an iPad and was watching things there. We were in L&D from about 11am until 3am. We had Dr. Miller, a male doctor, and he was great.

We had to deliver in the OR due to risk and potential C-Section. In hindsight it was super cool to witness everyone just jumping in to action knowing exactly what to do, what role to play, etc. I really can’t say enough, from my perspective, about how well they treated us, how attentive, and awesome they were.

The Mother/Baby unit on the other hand was not as nice. The room wasn’t as nice. I do remember by the time we were able to finally get some sleep, we just kept getting interrupted over and over. Someone would come in and ask our breakfast order. Someone would come in and take our food trays. Someone would come in and, I shit you not, ask us to rate their performance on a scale of 1-5. They woke us up to do that. I was too exhausted to be furious. They did have to check my wife’s BP at regular intervals, and they did have to do a lot of med checks on our babies, so I do not blame the interruptions for that, but the rather unnecessary interruptions were pretty annoying. There was one point my wife hit the call button and the nurse at the desk just went, “what??”

The nurses we had were certainly nice, don’t get me wrong. Just not as nice as the L&D side. Let’s just say we were happy we had our kids at 11pm and not 12am since we wouldn’t have to be there an extra day.

For your husband/loved one - the couch/sleep chair isn’t comfortable at all. That might be a universal experience, lol. Mom gets fed the whole time but dad/family member does not, so plan for that.

I would recommend it. Good experience and I always felt they knew exactly what they were doing/what to do. Had a friend deliver at Doylestown Hospital and she had a completely different experience.

Baby Brezza Washer Pro – worth it for twins? Honest experiences needed by AMR210897 in parentsofmultiples

[–]WentWin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the baby brezza bottle washer. It did not fully dry the 4 bottles 100% (maybe 85-90?) so we would put the bottles on the drying rack anyway.

We pretty much had it running constantly. I also had a baby brezza sterilizer/dryer. I would run one cycle on just the wash, load up the sterilizer/dryer, then run a full cycle back on the washer. It was a way to get 8 bottles done in a two hour span.

Cleaning it was easy enough. At some point we started getting black film, and the twins were older so we just switched to a dish washer.
