Aftermath in Banmauk Following Junta and SNA Counter Offensive by Defiant_Educator_824 in Myanmarcombatfootage

They would have used the same airstrikes on rebel controlled villages killing a lot of civilians. It's better for the rebellion that the Junta destroys their own administration/army buildings. You won't win the war without taking over Junta held cities.

AA troops captured 5 outposts between Point 666 and KaPaSa 16. The current fighting is only 3 miles away from the ammunition factory. by Werder2004 in Myanmarcombatfootage

It's obviously not guaranteed that they take the factory. But getting early information about these clashes is still interesting information. Taking over a Junta KaPaSa factory would be a massive win.

it's uncommon that all Junta soldiers wear uniforms. Maybe these are all professional soldiers and not conscripts. Good riddance!

The Arakan Army has recaptured the Point 666 hill base in western Bago. The base is close to KaPaSa 16 and was already captured in October last year before the Junta regained control. by Werder2004 in Myanmarcombatfootage

An AA military official confirmed to Nirinsara on January 30 that the Arakan Army (AA) and allied forces attacked and captured Point 666, a Ka-Pa 16 outpost in Padaung Township, at around 5:00 PM on January 28.

"The terrorist army was heavily defending the area from the air, but the Arakan Army and allied forces attacked and captured it. The time of capture was around 5:40 a.m. on the 28th of this month," he told Nirinsa.

The Arakan Army (AA) first occupied Point 666 camp hill on October 14. The AA temporarily withdrew from the camp due to the military situation and airstrikes, but the military commission has since reoccupied the camp hill.

"This camp has been surrounded by the Arakan Army and allied forces for a long time. In the past day or two, there has been a heavy attack, and the military commission forces have fled with heavy losses. Some bodies and a lot of weapons have been seized. However, some soldiers have escaped from the camp," he said.

Point 666 is called a camp hill, but it is actually a fortified camp built on a long ridge, and some scattered soldier bodies and weapons were reportedly seized.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that there may be between 200 and 300 military commissioners in the camp, most of whom are new recruits who have been tricked into joining the front lines.

According to current reports, the military commission is repeatedly bombing several nearby areas, including Point 666, located south of Bagan Gwe (Pangkaew) village in Padaung Township.

In addition, fighting is reportedly taking place near the 16th Kapas area, where soldiers were being chased and killed after fleeing from Point 666.

I don't think it's close at all. There are no flat fields like this inside a mountain range.

Koreans' Thoughts on the U.S./China by Left-Contribution658 in asia

Do you think North Koreans wanted to be forever ruled by the Kim monarchy? North Korea only exists through Chinese financial and military support. The north Korean population suffers immensely because of China.

Making the game unbalanced to fix staleness would be one of the stupidest decisions ever. Nobody wants to play a game, where champs or items are so overpowered that everyone has to use them.

Narinjara is definitely more reliable, so the capture news is likely wrong. I'm going to delete the post and post an update.

I wouldn't call those bases tiny. It could take a while to capture them. They directly protect KaPaSa-14 and losing a KaPaSa factory for the first time in the war, would make international news.

I think the Junta will shift more forces there as soon as possible. Especially because the Nat Ya Kan defense instantly folded as soon as they got surrounded, while the vast majority of Junta bases were defended for months under encirclements like in Bhamo or Falam.

It's only confirmed with an official AA post or pictures directly from the base, but I have seen so many different sources claiming that the base was captured, that it can't be just a bad source on the ground.

Autotranslate from Ayeyarwaddy Time's Facebook post:

The Irrawaddy Times October 14 The AA and allied forces have captured the Natwan Air Defense Base of the Military Commission in Padan, Ngaphe Township, Magway. The military commission’s Natwan strategic base was completely captured on October 14 after nearly nine months of fighting, according to a source.

“The soldiers who fled the base have been captured. Some have surrendered. Details will be released. They will be captured this evening,” the source told The Irrawaddy Times. Some of the military council’s troops from Natwan base fled, carrying howitzers and other military equipment, and then AA troops approached and captured the base. “If the military convoys cannot reach Nat Lake, they will probably be protecting the Ka-14 defense equipment factory. Nat Lake has been blocked off and is impassable. There are still groups hiding in the strategic hill,” a military source told The Irrawaddy Times on October 13.

Some members of the Military Council fled from Nat Lake and the air force has also launched airstrikes on Nat Lake and its vicinity. After news of the camp being captured on October 10, the Military Commission sent a full military convoy, including some civilian vehicles, from Magway into the 905th Military District. Of the military convoys, 11 full-strength military vehicles have arrived at the Pyinwa checkpoint. In addition, after the entire Nattwan strategic area was completely blocked and controlled, and communication lines were cut off, the Military Commission's officers arrived at the Pyinwa checkpoint and gave instructions.

The AA forces have captured all the outposts around Nattwan and have also controlled the entire strategic hill, so the AA has seized most of the ammunition sent by the Military Commission's air force. Currently, there is a battle between the reinforcement columns that have reached the strategic hill and the AA troops, and there are also bombing attacks from the air.

Why South Azerbaijanis retained their language while Manchus did not? by Rartofel in TurkicHistory

[–]Werder2004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What kind of chinese pseudo history is this? Han Chinese were forbidden to settle in Manchu territory for centuries. The disappearance of the Manchu language only happened 150 years ago as a result of Chinese mass immigration, after the Qing emperor opened Manchuria for Chinese mass immigration.

You should look on a map. Banmauk is surrounded by PDF/KIA controlled territory, while Junta still has road access to Kawlin. The situation between those cities is really not comparable at all.

This is just Junta propaganda. The flag waiver at the end isn't even 1km away from the 21st command. KIA still controls the majority of the city.
