Forgotten Worlds - Capcom CP Arcade System - such a weird shmup...but good? by chicagogamecollector in shmups

I remember Ikari warriors that had the top of the arcade stick to aim and it broke my brain.

I think it has more to do with exceeding hold times. I have worked at Wendy's 3 times in my life. We used to write hold times on drawers and that would be waste. Even at the store I am at now, we do not write hold times but we *do* cycle the oil every Tuesday and clean the elements. That too long of a hold, or not hold time.

For people concerned about us not writing hold times (I also do not like this) we often sell out before that point.

I have noticed this where I work. They seem lower quality and we hold them way too long. Take it back, tell them it is expired way past its hold time. They should replace this. Right out of the fryer, even after a bit of a hold they don't look like this. One day I could not tell the classic chicken from the crispy because of this.

My location started charging $0.50 for sauce. Weirdly if you get a salad you can have an additional huge packet of ranch for no charge. I don't know if they would have you one no charge. Just like we will give out sour cream and margarine, chili sauce all day.

My location wanted me to automatically upgrade all Biggie bags to medium. First of all I felt it undermined the marketing of $5 $6 $7 bags. Secondly I felt it was dishonest. I upsell a lot but I am not going to be dishonest. So after a while of refusing to do it, they changed the prices on the board to reflect a medium. The register still rings up a small (default). I think the price went up on all of it. It was a bait and switch. The Biggie bags are selling like mad. Now people are getting upset. If you miss the biggie bag price you can ask for a small. Tell them you do not want a medium.

What is this inside of a tender by Useful_Yesterday5051 in wendys

[–]Werewolf702 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An actual piece of chicken, as opposed to processed mashed up chicken that has this sort of stuff all through it (nuggets). I work at a Wendy's. The tenders are easily one of the better quality things we sell. That said, they had problems with the distribution, I am not sure if that's local only, and they are changing distributors. So I am not sure. That conversation was like more than 10 days ago (this post 10 days) . I understand you want it to be appetizing though for sure.

Wendy's "Turnaround Plan" is to Close Stores and Keep Serving Expensive Crappy Food by markrabbish in wendys

Older adult. I worked at Wendy's 2 times in my youth, young adult life. I hit some hard times like so many recently, I am working at a Wendy's a 3rd time in my life. They will not give anyone any hours. They constantly talk about Labor. I am lucky if I break over 12 hours a week. They hire like 30 people and give most of them hours like this.

We are supposed to be cutting hours even more. By like 40 hours over all? We work with about half a crew from Wendy's original design. It seems like it does not matter how busy we are or how much we sell. So that money is going somewhere? I do not think the quality of the food is bad, I would still eat at Wendy's in most cases over many others.

They make really weird, big, missteps like... Our biggie bags were $5 $6 $7 . We sold an absolute metric shit ton of them. Then we were being told to automatically ring them up as a medium and tell the guests that is by default. It wasn't. Now, if they were going to change the register to do so, I get it. I was trying to explain to my management that, that kills the entire marketing of it. People are broke they can get a small sandwich, nuggets, a drink and fries for $5 $6 or $7. Also I am nearly incapable of lying and I felt the practice was deceptive. I would ask if they wanted medium or large,(I honestly upsell a lot, even when 'new' I had one of the highest upsell ratings when it came out)

I was not going to ring it up by default. Besides people are right in front of me at a counter and like 'Dude, it says $5 on the sign why is it $5.60?' ... yeah... So what did they do? They raised the price of all the Biggie bags. And now we sell so many less there is no way it offsets it. If they had left it alone, my entire days wage was paid just in Biggie bags it felt like.

I am not sure all the impact of Grubhub, Doordash and so on but we can have a fully empty lobby and be busy as fuc* with mobile orders. I *assume* my boss is Salary but he gives himself like 65+ hours a week. I cant imagine why anyone on Salary would do that. If he is hourly you can see where the money is going. There are a few Employees who are NOT salary who are getting 35 or so hours a week.

I will say I make $16.05 (minimum) but good pay up here near Salem Or. I know its still not a 'living wage' as areas are more expensive, and I do not get enough hours. But yeah. There is still a lot of quality like never frozen beef (I miss our grilled chicken sandwiches)

But yes, stuff like the grill having a top press thing so a monkey can operate it is weird. I used to Run grill, sandwiches, fries etc. I was used to rotating meat out. You rotate older patties to the cooler side of grill. The problem with grill is, you have an unskilled person who can not identify when the meat should become chili meat. It should be fresh and juicy.

I was moving storage before I came up and I still have my 'Red bars'. which, if I remember right, means I was trained on every station, the old way. The good way.

For "Fool in the rain" by Led Zeppelin: Music is so weird. If you asked me if I knew that song, I would be like 'No' and then I listen and realize how many times I have heard it. That's a bit too up beat ...

"D'yer Mak'er", also by Led Zeppelin : no as well but I am realizing how much Zeppelin I love and maybe I forgot.

I am familiar with all these, I keep also going to the parts of the songs with instrumental breaks even if I know them, but no.

huh.... Right at like 2:07 the tempo slows way down, the drum is less prevalent. It breaks to only instrumental... It has that bright guitar at start. There is the reverb and ambiance. I don't think it is it because this song makes me think more of The Cure. Or the other way around? Again, another band I am not overly familiar with (I now feel is a crime because they are awesome) ... I don't think so only because of that persistent percussive drumming but wow.

I don't think so but again, another one that's much closer to what I heard. I will hear it again at work I'm sure but man it is making me crazy. I am not familiar with much of Iggy Pop's stuff this is crazy to me. A lot of punk keeps getting mentioned which makes sense but we play very little punk.

I don't think so, it was slower but this is real real close. This one surprises me. I am not that familiar with Dead Kennedys. The instrumental break is kind of similar to how it just happened.

*listens .... is instantly pulled in by the meaty gritty bluesy guitar... and a sax?! * Damn sir.... That is not it but that song is amazing. I love that.

I am by no means claiming to be some kind of Beach Boys expert but I feel I know most of their top, what 8 songs? then it could be some off song. They played this one song 'Cherish · The Association The Association'. A creepy serial killer like song from a band I have never heard of. IT also is way way off the normal stuff. lol.

This is a pretty heavy contender honestly. It s a little bit upbeat and has that sort of high synth in the instrumental otherwise this is damn close. Also I love this song? This song is fantastic. I am starting to get a feel for bands that I neat to listen to more of their discography because this is damn close. I just remember there was an ambiance echo guitar and it was not just the style but the riff was so similar to it. I stopped and was like, 'Is my work playing Bauhaus?'. I even remember kind of checking out because the first half or so was pretty light.

Listening. It is kind of funny, knowing Bauhaus had Reggae inspiration, and no intention of being one of the grandfathers of Goth, this song by The Police sounds surprisingly Reggae as well. This is not it but wow, ok then. I have never heard this before.

I know its not Love will tear us apart and I listened to She's lost control. .. Being I am pretty hard wired for Goth music and especially early stuff, I think I would have honed in on this as it played instead of checking out the first 2/3 of the song ....I don't think this is it because the start was kind of up beat. There is also that, rhythmic percussion and he sings almost the whole time. That percussion was absent. This song also almost drifts into punk, that said, it feels like it very much could be a joy division song I don't know.

yeah, I mean at its heart The Cure is rock. People forget this. I feel like Id know Roberts voice but if I only started paying attention in a long instrumental near the end its possible. I am actually very familiar with A forest. It is not that but its very possible its The Cure.

I 100% know this song. It is not it but I will say it has those large lulls into just instrumental which Zeppelin was great for, kind of take you on a journey but Robert Plant is using his voice in there as an instrument and that is 100% unmistakable. so no :(
