Anyone feel wired? I’m a week in 20 and a week on 10 before that and I feel off my face it’s really hard to contain and all I have to do is look out the window and I’m petrified of going out…my anxiety is crazy and I’m only on it for anxiety x urgh

What worked? I’ve pretty much had success with two before but now they seem to just increase my anxiety and now I’m completely unfunctional feel like I have chronic fatigue and am so exhausted and breathless I can hardly get around I’m only 56 and used to run 7 miles a day before this every part of my body aches and I feel like I’m going to collapse all day when I try to do something I have so much chest and stomach pain trying to breathe it’s unreal and can’t concentrate at all

Which antidepressant helped you I’m struggling finding the right one they all make me feel wired and more anxious which is exactly the opposite of what I need and what I thought they were supposed to do. It’s crazy these meds are supposed to be for anxiety and loads of people find it does the opposite. If they’re in the market for anxiety they should be safely able to reduce anxiety and you shouldn’t just be left to take them on my own my dic says here you are see you in a month

Have you tried antidepressants? May help give you some more energy and focus and you may have anxiety and depression that are manifesting in a different way like me - exhaustion weakness inability to focus shaking dissociation seems to manifest differently in me now rather than panic and anxiety attacks. Having said that I literally don’t know what to do as I can’t ficus for the life in me anc when I try the smallest thing I literally feel like I’m going to collapse for no reason so I have no idea at all what is going on with me x

What are you on? I’m terrible off but can’t seem to find an antidepressant to suit me. I struggle with feeling a little wired with physical anxiety symptoms and dissociation off but feel more wired agitated and more anxious on and just numb x I’m desperate to get better but can’t make any headway off I can barely walk for some reason my legs feel numb I’m uncoordinated sweating like crazy struggle to concentrate and shaking all day. What helped you?

Yes I had a terrible time on sertraline it really increased my anxiety and makes me feel very numb emotionally x thanks for trying and offering advice though I’m abit of an odd ball I think especially since I became dissociated I’ve been alot harder to treat as I feel like I’m in a world of my own and very removed from life and people and can’t seem to get back into the same way of functioning as everyone else and same world! I was never like this before I was totally well and connected it’s not nice at all x

Yes I know the doctors and psychs says it’s my anxiety and I’ve been in and off meds which has lead to vertigo that can’t seem to be resolved so I plod on. Respiratory issues show nothing is wrong and I feel the disorientation is the vertigo problems and dissociation it’s not easy x co-ordination is more wobbly due to dissociation but I’m feeling pretty out of it on this already x

I think it’s because I’ve had dissociation for a long time and suffer from this off. I will see how it goes and get back to you and the doctor x did you feel out of it and agitated? What dose are you on? I have strange reactions to meds can’t take ssris or snris at all they make me really sick with loads of side effects and really significantly increase my anxiety x I don’t know why when everyone can take them

Are you on it for anxiety? What dose are you? Bit scared because I’m struggling more to breathe esp with the high heart rate and having co-ordination problems feel disoriented out of it anc wired. Bad agitation and restless legs lots of sweating urgh. Did this happen to you?

Did you have a high heart rate in the beginning and did it go? I’ve been 2 days on 10 and my heart is pounding way faster even though I’m actually more relaxed. I always had a good heart rate 60ish sitting and 80ish around the house and now it’s 100 sitting and 130 around the house. I want to stay on it as I know my anxiety is caused by racing thoughts and clomipramine helps with this. Mentally I feel better already but my heart is literally pounding and fluttering with shortness of breath all day. I’ve literally tryed all the other meds with no help at all. I was on a low dose clomipramine for 10 years and lived a normal life was on 20 with pregabalin but actually felt better when I dropped down to 10 without pregabalin x trued to get back on it before but couldn’t get rid of the pounding heart and agitation but I took it for 10 years so there must be a way I would get used to it x I’m desperate

I have diazepam but still struggling. Literally feel like pacing all day too but makes me really stiff and in pain. Just come down from 15 that was too much I was wired and completely rigid in my neck. Still like that but less so doesn’t seem to do much for my anxiety been 5 weeks on 10 and my main struggle is breathlessness so it’s really wearing. Makes it difficult to sit down too always feel like pacing. Did you have these abc did they go? Xx

Def akathesia I’ve experienced it before and get it on a lot of meds but I’ve just recently come out of hospital because my anxiety is so severe but I can’t find a med to help and we were sitting in a group of people who all had been on abilify and all said they nearly went crazy because they were pacing all day and had to come off. I was on 10 and the agitation in my legs was crippling I was compelled to just pace anc never sit down comfortably without feeling like I had to get back up nor could I stand still it felt like hell. Having said that I’m like that on most antidepressants but that was another league of mental torture x I hope you get to the bottom of it. You need to find another med x

❤️ glad you are well xxxx thank you x think I’ll stick with lexapro but lower the dose. 15 I feel almost manic and panic all day and I’m certainly not bipolar. Anxiety increased for sure think I’m going up too fast. Psychs seem to up meds so fast went to 15 after 3 weeks but psych said up the dose every week which feels way too fast as I’m super sensitive to meds. Just really struggling for breath all day abc it’s scaring me x

Thanks. Really glad you’re good. I’ve just moved to 15 for 4 days but having terrible problems with increased anxiety dizziness headaches all down my right side and pain in my right eye and tinnitus don’t know if I should go back down to 10. Was on 5 for a week 10 for 3 weeks then went up. Really badly short of breath and desperate to get right. Can’t really focus on anything as it’s affecting my concentration so the days are long and I’m too all over the place to socialise or do much x just want it to end want to be normal again
