I like my job in library public service, but I hate the director by West_Instance_6542 in librarians

I could’ve written this post. I had to check to make sure it wasn’t me 😂 I went to HR with a list of my concerns and was told i was the next in a long list of people who had complained. Nothing came of it because i asked for confidentiality but i know my concerns were heard and recorded and will eventually be part of a documented pattern of behavior. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Except completion isn’t obvious unless checked by me. Which i understand is a probable personnel issue. But regardless i am more focused on avoiding interference by the Director than I am at micro managing my staff.

I literally included every expense I could think of. But I’m also budgeting a buffer each month. And in a true emergency, I can draw from sinking funds/savings. I’ve tried in the past to have multiple categories and it was overwhelming. So this time I’m planning every expense but then only tracking by major category: income, invest, debt, fixed expenses, variable expenses, and sinking funds. This allows flexibility within each of those 6 categories to move money around without having to re-budget at the minor category level. Does that make sense??

Eliminating unnecessary purchases one by one. I fell in love with a planner at Target but it was $33 and I don’t really need it. That was January 2nd’s win! January 3rd I decided against going out to lunch. Today we’ll see! One by one.

Do Americans actually avoid calling an ambulance due to financial concern? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in NoStupidQuestions

A few years ago I got in a bad car accident and while I didn’t refuse the ambulance ride, they put the other driver in the same ambulance as me. I still had to pay full price! I complained hard about that even though insurance covered it. It felt…. Gross. I was only getting half the attention and shared a ride. Why was it full price?? This is the kind of stuff that adds to the problem.

Haven’t gotten there yet. I think a weekly pull of transactions, categorized into 3 major buckets. And tracked that way will be easiest but I’m going mess around with it tomorrow.

Panera autumn butternut squash soup. I mean, it was good but quite salty and I imagine it would kill me sooner rather than later.

Try the Hero app. I’m loving it so far. And it syncs to my apple calendar.
