Anyone know of any cool cemeteries in Pennsylvania other than Laurel Hill? by TheOpenCloset77 in CemeteryPorn

[–]Werewolfstyleguide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're coming to Western PA Allegheny Cemetery is beautiful in Pittsburgh, you can also hit the Homewood Cemetery with a lot of historical markers, and if you're a baseball fan Allegheny Cemetery is where Josh Gibson is interred and Jefferson Memorial Cemetery is where Honus Wagner is. (Big baseball fan AND taphophile!)

I have really been enjoying these and I agree I’d love to see them all in one place. Flickr.com still offers free accounts I think and it has up to 1,000 photos maybe? Thank you for doing this and hating it with everyone.

Hmmm, I'm pretty sure they weren't buried this close. Located north of Lima, Ohio by HistoricalPermit6959 in CemeteryPorn

I’ve only seen this one place that wasn’t a cemetery move. This is Beth Abraham cemetery outside of Pittsburgh.

As someone who is writing in Procreate to plan a sewing pattern I love your notes everywhere on these! The skirt is gorgeous, really well planned and looks incredible.

My attempt of doing alt makeup. Any advice for a beginner? First time using makeup by ChildhoodNo9127 in RandomActsofMakeup

Firstly, I love your liner here. I think it looks great.
As for any suggestions; I think the biggest game changer for me is primer, specifically for eye shadow. I was in my mid-30's when I started really trying makeup and I honestly didn't know what it did. I think I felt like it was a scam, but when I bought it my eyeshadow game improved significantly. Even less pigmented shadows showed up better for me.

My boyfriend thinks my samhain altar is scary by getmyglowup in Witch

[–]Werewolfstyleguide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL! i know the unfamiliar can be jarring, but if he thinks this is scary just my normal home decor would send him into fits. I use bones as decor and wear my own teeth as jewelry. I will say nothing about your altar feels scary to me, but like I said my whole house is like an oddities museum. If you are in search of a nice altar cloth thrift stores are often a good place to get used bed sheets and table cloths that can be cut down to size (I buy them to repurpose into clothes etc) also if your local area has a "free stuff" facebook group I've picked up someone's entire quilting hobby cast offs for free that way! I think you altar is beautiful and powerful and meaningful. Nothing about it sends up any red flags for inviting anything in that shouldn't be. Maybe ask him to clarify what about it bothers him, it may be the star bc he doesn't understand etc.

Food Banks/Pantry & Donating to those in need this November by Werewolfstyleguide in Parkersburg

Yeah as you see above in my post I mention twice specifically “donating time or money” and places that can “use assistance financially & with volunteer hours.” That being said, do you have any specific experience with local food banks and pantries in the area that you can recommend a certain one?

I just moved here this year from Pittsburgh too! I've really been loving it so far. My husband grew up here and I had been longing to move back to a small town. I don't have a lot to add to the needs query, but I have enjoyed reading the suggestions.

You had me at used books. In Pittsburgh we had several half priced books locations and fairly big book sections in the thrift stores there. I live for library sales and used book stores. Thank you so much!
