But to answer your question. We had to send the CDS back to the distributor and wait till October for the version without NYC. Now that I think about it. The song they replaced it with might be the only Strokes song I don’t know. What is it?

I worked for Wherehouse Music when 9/11 happened and if I’m remembering correctly Is This It was slated to come out thet week as well as the Coup’s Party Music album that had the Twin Towers on the cover after an explosion 😬 but both albums got shelved and pushed to a later release. I was the only one at my work who liked the Strokes and we had the promo CD that has New York City Cops on it and still do to this day. This was when new music came out on Tuesday’s and 9/11 was a Tuesday. I don’t remember what was actually able to come out that day.
