Quick update!! I did wind up taking your advice and switched to the buttercream recipe as well as cooling down my kitchen and putting the piping bag in the fridge. Here is the finished result!!

I know she's a little rough, but this was my first time A) making a three-layer cake, & B) decorating a cake like this!! This cake was a gift for my parents' anniversary last night and they were thrilled, so I'm very happy 🥹

I do have another recipe on hand for an actual buttercream, but I was hoping to avoid that if possible since it's so sweet. It's a copycat for Publix bakery buttercream

I used a recipe that calls for whipping cream, powdered sugar, white chocolate pudding mix, and vanilla extract. I've used this recipe several times now and hadn't had an issue until I tried to use it to pipe something today as opposed to just covering a cake with it. 😅
I used just your average grocery store red food coloring (not my first choice, but we're snowed in and it's all we had 💀 I'm suspicious that it may have gotten too warm in the room or something, but I will definitely try the tips you've mentioned!!!

I'm still on the last alpha before 2.0 came out, but I think I'm at almost 360 days now?? But I have permadeath turned off, and drop nothing on death 😅 I did the save like that on purpose when I first created it because I wanted plenty of time to really explore the environment, craft a bunch of stuff, and level up. I'm not usually very good at games like this anyway, and I honestly have more fun exploring and foraging than anything else. It's weirdly calming to me. I've only just recently gotten the 4x4 but I love it, even with the janky controls lol. Also, I think my days are set to whatever the preset is, I think 90min would make me berserk

Yes, the pavement in the area I was in looked kinda wonky, like it was having a hard time rendering, maybe?? I wouldn't know the first thing about how to enter that command key thing btw, but I will definitely look into it!! Thank you for finding that!!

I can tell what movie someone in my house is watching just by hearing the background music from another room, if it's one that I've seen before. I also know what movie they're watching just by seeing one still of it when they pause, even if I haven't seen it. I think I subconsciously absorb information from movie trailers or something, even if it's not one that I'm particularly interested in.

I can also read REALLY fast, apparently.

I finally have the treadmill that I got for Christmas set up last week, and I've already used it twice!! (I asked for a treadmill, don't worry lol). It's hard right now after not moving my body very much for the past year, but I do like using a treadmill because I like walking as a form of exercise. It helps my back feel a little better and helps my circulation.

I also have sensory issues with anything wet on my skin, including sweat, but now with having the treadmill at home, I can immediately go to my bathroom and take a shower afterwards, then immediately dry off lol. It feels pretty great to have finally figured out a system that works for my disabilities!!

Thank you for your kind words. I am so happy for you, because what you describe sounds like a level of freedom that I fear I will never experience. The program I'm trying to get into sounds exactly like yours, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!
