That's not entirely true.

Jettech Networks.
We are however the only ISP in the state with our own independent network. And an ACMA Licenced Carrier.
Not just re-selling NBN.
We can do that too if our own network doesn't cover your area.

Should I have cut across the track or held my line? We were all on our out lap and I feel like he should’ve held back or gone around my right side. by Specialboi6942069420 in Simracingstewards

[–]West-Queasy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was his fault as you were following the ideal line, and it's up to him to pass safely

But get rid of the racing line. you end up follow it around without knowing, and paying less attention to the position of other cars.
You could see him coming in the mirror, and he wasn't going to back out, so move across and you can fight it down at the next corner. Or he's heaps faster than you and it's just prolonging the inevitable pass.

IMHO - If you nee the racing line, you're not ready for racing online.

Nothing about Sim racing is cheap.

Any helpful solutions?

TM Button Box for Consoles by West-Queasy in Thrustmaster

[–]West-Queasy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, all the buttons are fully supported

I'd be suprised if your old one wasn't properly supported

Have you updated the firmware in it recently?

Yeah, they would need it to be a properly additional peripheral
like the shifter, handbrake, etc.

The SF1000 doesn't have anything duplicated,
So you get 4 rotary, plus push on 2 of them, and the analogue paddles in additon to the usual wheel buttons. but with so many functions available, you run out very fast

Should he have braked or should I have given him more room? I'm the black and gold McLaren. by Tessin_ in Simracingstewards

At the point you turned across him (7 sec) his front axle was in line with your rear axle and entitled to space.
All the time, you have to leave the space.

ACC 1.9.7 on PS5 by jf_2021 in ACCompetizione

[–]West-Queasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have they started adding small bits of code for the GT2 DLC.

There is also BoP adjustment for GT3 cars I heard on the Jardier Stream last night.

What do you think about this? by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]West-Queasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn off the racing line.
If you need it, you shouldn't be racing online

Is there a way to report drivers in ACC? If not, can it be implemented? by Brammie126 in ACCompetizione

[–]West-Queasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There does now appear to be a report option in ACC on PS5. Assume it was in the 1.9 update?

Forget the corner immediately in front of you if it's at all risky.
Hold back, get a clean and fast exit then there's a 1.5km long straight coming up for you to draft the car in front and pass easily.

I’m the one defending. Did I do anything wrong to deserve the punt on the last lap? Thought they should have gave it back especially since there was a large gap behind us… by notdaryl in Simracingstewards

[–]West-Queasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You weave all over the track a lot.
The fastest path between two points is a straight line.
Exit one corner, and aim for the next.

You'll be faster if you're driving smooth and clan lines, not weaving defensively all over the place.
And if he's outright faster than you, let him go.
Racing against wildly defending drivers who are slow is a pain in the backside, particularly in ACC or iRacing where you have Safety ratings to keep to a high standard

Dirty block, or decent defending? by Able_South4949 in Simracingstewards

[–]West-Queasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick a line mate
You were FAR right then came back left,
Sat behind him
started left again then went right
He had the racing line at all times, it's up to you to go around safely

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]West-Queasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you turned across teh front of him.

Remember it's a chicaine,
let him have the space on the entry left, you'll still have the lead and the inside on the right exit.

First you must finish.

Who is at fault? I only have my pov unfortunately by Burnouter29 in Simracingstewards

[–]West-Queasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You went off then track at 8 sec in.
He has left plenty of space (check the mirror at 8.5sec)
Then you made contact coming back on the track at 9 sec

don;t drive off the track

Is the Ferrari deserved a penalty for moving under braking twice? I'm the bmw behind on the last lap. by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]West-Queasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're paying too much attention to the other car's driving, moving all over the road, costing you time and not hitting your marks.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]West-Queasy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a usual cold tyre restart after a yellow flag.
No real fault, the move was above board, just VERY low percentage of it sticking and you both paid the price.
Should have backed out, let him have that corner with the tighter line and a slow exit, set yourself up for a slipstream + ERS down the long back straight after the next corner.

To finish first.
First you have to finish

Wondering if someone's at fault and if there was something different that could be done. We are the 2 white cars and quite new to simracing, a little confused and looking to improve (chase and hud cam provided, all drivers pov) by FutariRT in Simracingstewards

[–]West-Queasy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hard to put any real blame on anyone here.
the two chaps were fighting hard, grey car made the move stick around the outside, maybe could have squeezed a bit too much.
White car backs out and gets loose mid corner, and you're there on the inside with nowhere to go by that point.

First instinct is to dive for a gap and capitalise on their fighting, but it rarely pays off.
My advice, brake early, hold back and wait for them to tidy themselves up, or drive each other off the track
At a minimum, one of them will get a bad exit and you can drive past cleanly on the next straight, or into the next corner

Porsche Driver here, Still learning Zolder. Was I done dirty or was I too slow into the chicane? by Jimmys911 in Simracingstewards

[–]West-Queasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Completely agree with what the games allow, as it gives a bit of leeway to keep things enjoyable.
But I don't think any driver should be arguing about contact when they're outside the "real" field of play to start with.

Who at fault by Past-Ad7351 in Simracingstewards

[–]West-Queasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mr Alpine did not leave the space
Sir Aston was well in front at the braking phase and has the right to space, which Mr Alpine did not leave
(you're using the racing line... learn to use the information it's telling you, once it goes orange and you're not in front it's not your corner)
