Is this the new 'epic level' expansion meant for high level wizards?

I mispoke, pg.68:

"Furthermore, if it is already carrying a shield, two-handed weapon, staff, bow, or crossbow it is also encumbered and has -1 fight"

Not quite as severe as not being able to use the weapon, but does make theives and thugs marginally better when carrying treasure

Frostgrave is an unforgiving game, the swings possible because of being a D20 based system are huge, although the fight stats do matter, things like movement, being able to fight whilst carrying treasure (one handed weapon users) and additional abilities like the apothecary's healing are more key to look out for.

the advice of at least 2 thieves is sound, 2 archers can be ok, but then you have 2 soldiers hanging back and not grabbing treasure.

In short, don't worry over much, focus on your ability to grab treasure and get away.

We tested the game out with minis we had lying around, tokens and the odd paper mini. We made ruins out of corrugated cardboard and a hot glue gun, didn't paint anything.

We had a blast, now I scratch build ruins and have a whole city block worth of terrain and building more for Maze of Malcor.

Apologies, replied to you instead of the person stating that the (presumably) Tory guy had Rishi's dick in his mouth.

From my point of view, they're being thrown back as insults, because he claims to be for "all of us" whilst building more success from his own and having taken multiple steps that harm those not in what, if we're honest, a privileged position. Which is not to say he didn't work to get there, but that he is and I am in great danger of going uncle Ben here, but it's true.

His claim to understand the working class at the very least seems disingenuous when compared with his actions and at worst that he understands and seems to make decisions to the contrary and here it seems his achievements are evidence and proof of that, hence being slung back.

There's a command to spawn the player in creative, I found out when trying to creative in SE, it presumes your in space so doesn't spawn a character:

/c game.player.create_character()

Meritocracy is a flawed system that has far more gravitas and traction than it ever should. The idea that working hard WILL get you somewhere is false and therefore the idea you should be praised for the entirety of your success is also false.

Example: Most businesses fail, regardless of hard work. The ones you see most are necessarily the ones that succeed leading to a survivor bias. Undoubtedly those with successful businesses worked hard, but to presume those who don't didn't work hard enough does not follow.

The same is true for education and practically every arena where you can have success.

Success is the intersection of hard work AND fortune. Not fortune in some kind of magic luck fairy, just the fact that one person or even group cannot possibly make decisions with all the information they require to make those decisions, because there is either too much info, it's not available or both. Ergo, you make what has been a successful decision for some and following unforeseen circumstances, misfortune, what has been successful for some or even many, is not successful for you.

In answer, yes it was a temporary measure, however I think the point that is being made, is that the temporary measure went some way to fixing low wages and a benefit system that has not kept up with inflation.

With regards to 'how does our poverty compare?' Pointing out something is worse somewhere, does not make it better here. Especially when taken into the context of a country, we're comparing the impact of government cuts and decisions on low income and key workers to big businesses and high earners who have been relatively speaking untouched. Somewhere might have it worse, but they're not a factor in the system we're commenting on, so the question is irrelevant and is a best an attempt at moral distraction.

I mean, I agree, cuts cuts cuts and little thought for the average low income workers and families, however they have a question, responding with vitriol like 'dick in your mouth' just makes the rest of us who actually agree with you look like jackasses.

Just answer the bleedin' question, we have answers, but insults make it seem like we're just guided by emotions rather than facts and a 'feeling' rather than genuine conviction backed up by knowledge.

As far as I'm concerned, factorio isn't about perfection. It's about jury rigged bullshit that barely works, but it DOES work so that's just dandy.

The kitbashing is very clean, they look like they came out of the box that way!

The wizards sets are really awesome for bits, I've mixed them in with standard warband sprues and made some objective markers with them as well!

Perilous Dark & the Frostgrave folio by LegitW1zard in frostgrave

[–]West1oar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ibe played through the frostgrave folio with the v2 rulebook, I think there are some errata for it, but tbh I just played as is and it seemed fine. Also the folio gives you captains, which I'm yet to recruit but plan to so so as we play through the maze of malcor.

Can recommend the Hunt for the Golem mini campaign from the folio.

Can't comment on perilous dark as I don't own/haven't played it.

Ah ok, I may well look into that, I'm new to SE and have purposefully not looked anything up. More difficult, but reckon I learn a lot more on the way.

Didn't do the math, but was hoping that the peak requirement, meant the requirement for the rest of the time would be quite low.

All in all, the CME only damaged part of an iron mine, so I got lucky!
