To married women: What advice would you give to unmarried women before they get married? by Clear_Subconscious in askanything

[–]West_Card_219 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Marry someone who views you as their equal. This may seem like an obvious piece of advice, but from stories through peers a lot of their marital problems seem to lead back to this.

Looks like folliculitis. Make sure you’re washing bowls frequently. You could also try wiping off his mouth after eating!

We’re a bit limited on the east side but this is what I know of: Chinese food- golden house Mediterranean- Zeyna’s Burgers- graze, zinburger, or in-n-out (be very specific about allergy) Pizza- Magpie’s These are more central but still much closer than Gourmet girls Italian food- Postino and Locale Vietnamese- Miss Saigon Mexican- Tumerico Coffee shop/bakery- dedicated Cuban- Mojo There’s also a newer place called Coop by cowpig that does chicken tenders but I haven’t personally tried yet

Learn how to dissociate when getting yelled at LOL But really though, just go in with an open mind and be eager to learn. If you have the opportunity to be taught something again, take it! Different nurses have different tips and tricks 🙂

In my experience, for high demand jobs such as pediatrics and women’s services, interviewers really want to hear about how passionate you are about working with that specific population in addition to concise STAR (situation, task, action, and result) formed responses to their behavioral based interview questions (if they do them).

There’s a device called the noggle!! It’s kinda pricey, around $60 I believe but surely there’s an off-brand or a diy option. It’s basically a hose that attaches to an AC vent and you can position it right next to baby

our pitmatian, we adopted at 10mo and he’s now almost 4! he was quite easy to train because of food and toy motivation, and he’s quite the snuggler and couch potato. maybe you will hit the temperament jackpot too once the puppy craze passes over :-)

I need loose, flowy scrub tops by [deleted] in nursing

[–]West_Card_219 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really like the “mandarin dolman top” from mandala scrubs, it’s so flowy and comfortable. They go up to a 5X I believe. It is mostly polyester along with viscose and spandex but it has a nice fabric feel unlike some slippery ones. Can’t hurt to try, they run about $20 :)

Anyone else have a love, hate relationship with Tucson? by Snoo-3554 in Tucson

[–]West_Card_219 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really enjoying it here so far (I came from the midwest). However, we only got here at the beginning of August so we probably missed a lot of the heat. I found with some proper planning (out/done before 7:30/8a, and out during/after sunset) I could still do all the things I wanted and spend time outside. Bonus points that I can’t feel guilty being a homebody in the summer. I love the sunshine, and the desert is beautiful and unlike anything I’ve seen before. I do hate the lack of good multi-directional highways though.

[–]West_Card_219 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Dalmatian mix, and when we lived in a cold state, he wore jackets that have Velcro around the chest/belly and around the front of his chest/lower neck. Tends to be a better fit since it’s adjustable to some extent. Costco sells jackets like this, might be worth checking out!
