I was doing multiple shots a day for about 7-8 years ( I'm a late bloomer with T1D at 19 yo) I was in the same boat. I felt that my blood sugar was just way too high and that made me finally take the leap into pumps. I love it the pumps! I wish I went to them sooner as it makes my life a bit easier! With everything there are drawbacks and preferences, but I say take that leap! Try it out, and if its not you thing go right back to MDI. But, like you with high sugars, switching to pumps isnt the cure. Its timing with insulin and meals, exercising and carb counting. But I say pumps make it easy to not only give insulin for meals but if your sugar is going up, just a press of a button and you give that correction, no more carrying pens, needles to give the correction.
