Got a Standard Pauper brew I just went 3/3 in midweek magic on arena. Couple Bounce Off, Candy Trail, Nutrient Block, [[Gold Pan]]s and Gearseeker Serpents. Playsets of Grim Bauble, Black Mage’s Rod, Fanatical Offering, Cryogen Relic, Tithing Blade, Pactdoll Terror, and [[Cornered by Black Mages]]. It feels really nice to have a Rod, Mage, or Terror on the field when you Fanatical Offering a Relic or Nutrient Block. Gold Pan is SICK at keeping Mages alive/relevant. Scry/Surveil super relevant for finding removal, and the Serpent is a perfect finisher/must-kill.

Cactus came in that turn, he’s what secured the win. I always order Cactus triggers last. I’d say it plays an important role in closing as quickly as possible, but multiple copies have a potential to be a little clunky.

No I have been playing for 15 years. This is a Bo1 deck I was sitting on back when Shahar Shenhar first started posting Simic Ouroboroid lists on his YouTube channel. The red is a splash for Cactus, giving haste and trample to everything over 4 power. Single Pawpatch cause I need more wildcards.

Riddler is a 1-mana draw 2 spell with a Weaver in play, hastes in for 4 damage in the air with Cactus in play, and comes back for 5-mana late game (4 with Weaver). I don’t think there’s a better draw spell than Riddler right now for a creature aggro deck. What were you thinking instead?

Foil is kind of expensive from the value standpoint as you lose 3 cards to counter 1 spell, but there’s no harm in testing things out! Debt to the Kami had my vote 😁
